The 2022 Land Rover Discovery stands out as a three-row midsize SUV that blends luxury with genuine off-road ability. By this generation, the Discovery had moved further toward comfort and technology, and it was described as far more capable than most owners will ever need. It also benefits from standard four-wheel drive, which reinforces its all-terrain character.
For 2022, the Discovery’s powertrain lineup had already shifted away from the diesel that was discontinued in the U.S. in 2021. In its place were a 296 hp turbocharged four-cylinder and a 355 hp turbocharged six-cylinder mild hybrid powertrain.
