How much does the 2019 Land Rover Discovery cost?

Prices have softened 18.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 341 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Land Rover Discovery a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the Discovery’s appeal comes through clearly in its mix of luxury and real off-road ability. It was designed as a softer, more modern take on the nameplate, with smoother styling and unibody construction, while still keeping the capability that helped define the Discovery in the first place. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want an upscale three-row SUV that can still handle adventurous use. 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Land Rover Discovery reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 Discovery’s strengths are tied to its comfortable cabin, standard four-wheel drive, and broad capability, while its tradeoffs are more about day-to-day usability than outright durability. Its infotainment can be slow and distracting, and the third row is tighter than ideal for adults, so you should expect some compromises in convenience. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a vehicle with this much complexity can be more sensitive to condition and maintenance history than a simpler SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Land Rover Discovery?

At 73.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on the drivetrain, electronics, and interior condition, since those are the areas where a luxury SUV’s ownership experience can become expensive if something has been neglected. You should also pay close attention to how the infotainment behaves during a test drive, because slow or distracting operation can affect everyday usability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Land Rover Discovery?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 341 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,945, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Land Rover Discovery's resale value?

The current average of $16,945 sits slightly below last year's $20,770.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you plan to sell later, the softer current pricing means your future resale will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and presented. A clean history and strong condition should matter more than ever if you want to protect value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Land Rover Discovery or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, capability, and buyer confidence, the 2019 is the one to focus on first, especially because pricing has eased and there are enough listings to compare carefully. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also use nearby years as leverage, but the 2019 gives you a solid balance of current market softness and the Discovery’s core strengths.
