Used 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe for Sale near Georgia

How much does the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe cost?

Prices have softened 17.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,611 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe stands out as the most efficient Grand Cherokee ever when you keep it charged, and it pairs that plug-in hybrid setup with Jeep’s familiar off-road capability. That makes it a broader-use SUV than a trail-only model, especially if you want daily-driving efficiency without giving up rugged character.

The main trade-off is cabin quality: the interior materials feel cheap, and the expert notes also point to a lot of hard plastic in the cabin. It’s a strong fit if you want capability and tech in one package, but less compelling if you prioritize a more premium-feeling interior.

Good and great deals account for 38.7% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe is built around a plug-in hybrid powertrain that delivers strong output and a useful all-electric driving range when charged regularly. The expert notes also emphasize that it can be very efficient in ideal conditions, but that cold weather and a depleted battery reduce that advantage.

Jeep also includes regenerative braking and selectable powertrain modes, which can help you tailor how the vehicle uses its battery and gas engine. The cost-effectiveness notes make the ownership equation clear: if you plug it in consistently, the efficiency payoff comes much sooner than if you treat it like a regular gas SUV.

For used buyers, the long-term risk is mostly about whether the previous owner kept the battery charged and maintained the vehicle well enough to preserve the plug-in hybrid benefits.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the battery-related ownership pattern, since this model’s efficiency depends heavily on regular charging. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on cabin wear, electronic features, and whether the plug-in hybrid system behaves as expected. Pay close attention to overall condition, because the interior materials are a known weak point.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 4xe already feels comfortable and close to upscale, while the Overland adds leather seats, wood and metal accents, heated and ventilated front seats, and bronze contrast stitching. The Trailhawk is the most off-road capable trim, and the Summit Reserve sits at the top with luxury-oriented equipment.
• Powertrain: The plug-in hybrid setup pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with a battery pack for 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. It uses standard four-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and offers 56 MPGe with 25 miles of all-electric range.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert. Intersection-collision assist is optional on lower trims and standard on Summit and Summit Reserve, while front parking sensors require an Overland, Summit, or Summit Reserve or an extra-cost option.
• Infotainment: Uconnect 5 is the main interface, and it includes a 10.25-inch front-passenger display on the base 4xe, a standard 10.25-inch digital driver display, wireless charging availability, and over-the-air capability is not described here.
• Fuel efficiency: The Grand Cherokee 4xe is rated at 56 MPGe and can travel 25 miles on electricity alone. Once the battery is depleted, it returns 23 mpg.

Which 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe trim should I buy?

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is offered in 5 trim levels: base 4xe, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, Summit Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• base 4xe: This is the best-value starting point if you want the plug-in hybrid system, standard four-wheel drive, and a long list of features without paying for luxury extras.
• Trailhawk: Choose this if off-road capability matters most, since it is the most off-road capable trim and adds the hardware and setup that support that mission.
• Overland: This is the trim to target if you want a more upscale cabin, with leather, wood and metal accents, heated and ventilated front seats, and a stronger luxury feel.
• Summit: Pick this if you want a more premium feature set and are willing to pay for higher-end equipment and available advanced safety content.
• Summit Reserve: This is the top choice if you want the most luxurious version, including standard McIntosh audio and the most complete equipment list.

The safety package is strongest on the Summit and Summit Reserve, where intersection-collision assist is standard and the surround-view camera is standard as well.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to make a purchase worthwhile if the right listing appears.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,611 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,118, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe's resale value?

The current average of $26,118 sits slightly below last year's $31,483.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, equipment, and how well the plug-in hybrid system was used than on broad market momentum alone.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe safe?

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe has not been crash-tested by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep equips it with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert as standard equipment. Intersection-collision assist is available on lower trims and standard on Summit and Summit Reserve, while front parking sensors are extra-cost or tied to higher trims.

Jeep also says a hands-off driver-assistance suite is coming, but it requires additional hardware and was not available to early buyers through an over-the-air update. The main caveat is that crash-test data is not yet available, so you should lean more heavily on the standard safety equipment and the vehicle’s condition when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 brings 25 miles of all-electric range and Jeep’s strongest blend of efficiency and off-road capability.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,302, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,118 average.
• The Trailhawk becomes 4xe-only, sharpening its off-road focus.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2022 is the stronger starting point because prices have eased and inventory is healthy. If you specifically want the later-year Trailhawk changes and don’t mind paying more, the 2023 is the cleaner follow-up choice.
