It stands out as a budget-friendly subcompact SUV that makes the most of its small footprint, and its compact size helps make it easy to park and practical in tight spaces. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about whether a budget-focused example has been maintained well and kept in good condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Hyundai Venue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or neglected maintenance. Because this model is built to be affordable and simple, condition matters a lot: pay close attention to how the interior, brakes, tires, and infotainment system have held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Hyundai Venue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 645 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,140, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Hyundai Venue's resale value?

The current average of $16,141 sits slightly below last year's $17,369.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the Venue easier to buy now but may also temper near-term resale gains. If you plan to sell later, the good news is that a lower entry price can help you avoid overpaying up front. The model’s value-focused reputation should still help it stay relevant with budget-minded shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Hyundai Venue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $13,982, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $16,141 average.
• It offers a very small crossover shape with a hatchback-like price.

The 2022 is the better pick if you want the newer model-year pricing context, strong deal availability, and a solid mix of value and satisfaction. If your main goal is to spend less, the 2021 is the more price-sensitive path and still gives you the Venue’s core appeal.
