Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearRaleigh, NC

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 7.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,906 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners repeatedly praise its comfort, spacious interior, and useful features like the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. The ride quality and quiet cabin also come up often, which fits the Ridgeline’s role as a pickup that prioritizes everyday livability. It’s especially appealing if you want a truck that feels more refined and practical than traditional midsize pickups.

The trade-offs are a slow-to-respond transmission and outdated technology.

With its comfort-first approach and broad appeal to buyers who value usability over brute strength, it makes sense for shoppers who want a versatile daily driver. Good and great deals account for 35.9% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as comfortable, solid value, and equipped with useful features that make daily ownership easier. The feedback also points to a smooth ride and practical storage solutions, which are the kinds of traits that usually support confidence over time. The truck’s refinement and everyday usability are recurring positives in owner feedback.

Honda’s naturally aspirated V6 and standard all-wheel drive give it a straightforward, proven setup, and the truck’s overall design emphasizes durability-minded practicality. Honda also backs it with a three-year, 36,000-mile limited warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its technology and transmission behavior may age less gracefully than its comfort and utility.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has seen heavy family, commuting, or towing use. Focus on cabin condition, infotainment responsiveness, and signs of wear that might suggest harder-than-average ownership. Because the Ridgeline’s appeal is tied so closely to comfort and convenience, condition matters a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Ridgeline Sport is the base trim, while the RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition add more equipment and a more upscale feel. The base trim misses blind spot monitoring, and the RTL-E and Black Edition add automatic high beams.
• Powertrain: The Ridgeline uses a 3.5-liter V6, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive. It makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and the setup favors smooth everyday driving over maximum towing or off-road ability.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Infotainment: The Ridgeline has an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is available on all but the base Sport trim, and navigation is available on the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Fuel efficiency: It returns 21 mpg combined, with 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Ridgeline’s core strengths without the higher price of the upper trims. It’s the trim to consider if you want the truck’s comfort, standard all-wheel drive, and useful cabin layout at the lowest cost.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top of the range. If you want a nicer daily driver with more comfort-focused equipment, this is the sweet spot.
• RTL-E: This trim adds more convenience and tech, including navigation and automatic high beams. It makes sense if you want a better-equipped Ridgeline and plan to keep it for a while.
• Black Edition: This is the most distinctive and fully dressed-up version, with the most premium presentation. Choose it if you want the most upscale Ridgeline and don’t mind paying for it.

Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, so that’s an important safety-package difference to keep in mind.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,906 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,001, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $29,001 sits slightly below last year's $31,337.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can work in your favor if you’re buying now. For a future seller, it means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average because the Ridgeline’s comfort and practicality still appeal to a specific buyer base.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline received top “Good” scores in most IIHS crash tests, but received a lower “Average” score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave Honda’s truck a five-star overall safety rating, with five stars in frontal and side crash tests, and four stars in rollover crash testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

The main caveat is the lower IIHS passenger-side small overlap frontal result, plus the absence of a 360-degree camera system.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over unchanged after the 2021 facelift, so you’re buying the refined version of this generation.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,766, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,001 average.
• It adds a more traditional truck look and stronger conventional appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,897, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $29,001 average.
• It emphasizes everyday practicality and broad appeal for modest truck tasks.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing and proven appeal, the 2022 is the smart middle ground. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want to spend a bit more for the next model year, the 2023 is the alternative to compare.
