How much does the 2022 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have softened 4.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,338 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, great safety features, and impressive fuel economy, which fits a five-passenger compact crossover built around practicality and low-drama ownership. If you want a roomy, efficient SUV that emphasizes comfort and versatility over flash, this model year lines up well with that use case. With 37.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on practicality, efficiency, and everyday usability. That kind of response usually matters most when you plan to keep a used SUV for several years. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure a specific example has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda CR-V?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate and confirm there are no accident or title issues. Put the inspection priority on overall condition, especially signs of wear that could affect comfort, noise, or drivability. Focus on how the vehicle presents in person, since a clean listing does not guarantee the same condition underneath.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,338 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,006, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $26,088 sits slightly below last year's $27,445.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully today but may also temper what you recover later. If you plan to sell in a few years, the current trend implies you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,979, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,088 average.
• It offers broad appeal with strong practicality and excellent value.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $28,736, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,088 average.
• It adds updated infotainment and safety tech.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best primary path if you want a well-liked, practical SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a healthier used-car market than the newer model year. If price matters most, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want newer equipment and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
