Used 2022 Genesis G70 for Sale nearMontgomery, AL

How much does the 2022 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 9.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 804 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, sleek design, outstanding performance, high-quality interior, and excellent sound system. The overview also points to a car that is fun to drive and well equipped for everyday use, with standard advanced safety features and Highway Driving Assist adding appeal.

The main trade-offs are the cramped back seat and the brakes, which our experts found lacking. Even so, the G70’s mix of style, performance, and value makes it a strong fit if you want a compact luxury sport sedan that feels distinctive without giving up too much equipment. Good and great deals account for 37.1% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a comfortable cabin, a refined interior, and a car that feels dependable enough to earn repeat praise from owners. The review summary also highlights strong performance and a premium feel, which usually matters when you’re judging whether a used luxury sedan will hold up well over time.

On the expert side, the G70 is described as a car with long-term warranty protection, complimentary connected services, and scheduled maintenance included for three years. That kind of ownership support can reduce early running costs and make the car easier to live with.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is not broad reliability so much as wear items and condition-specific issues, especially if the car has been driven hard or poorly maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis G70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important here because the G70’s brakes and back-seat packaging are known weak points, and condition can vary a lot depending on how the car was driven.

Focus on service records, brake condition, tire wear, and whether the car’s technology and driver-assistance features work as intended. If you’re shopping a higher-mileage example, pay extra attention to signs of hard use and any evidence of deferred maintenance.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.0T and 3.3T model series differ in equipment and character, and the higher-spec versions add more upscale materials, larger wheels, and more distinctive appearance details. Base-level setups are still well equipped, but the richer trims bring the more premium look and feel that help the G70 stand out.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 makes 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is optional, and the eight-speed automatic is the only transmission.
• Safety package: Every G70 includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. A 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor are available, and Highway Driving Assist is standard.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 10.25-inch touchscreen, with over-the-air software updates, navigation, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require a wired connection, not wireless.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 returns 21 mpg in combined driving according to official EPA ratings.

Which 2022 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T and 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the better-value choice if you want the G70’s style, standard safety tech, and luxury feel without paying for the stronger engine. It still gives you the core G70 experience, and it makes the most sense if you care more about price and everyday livability than maximum performance.
• 3.3T: This is the pick if you want the G70 at its most rewarding, with the twin-turbo V6, stronger acceleration, and the more serious performance character that defines the car. It’s the one to choose if driving enjoyment matters most and you’re willing to pay for it.

Highway Driving Assist is standard, and the available visibility aids add useful everyday convenience.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Genesis G70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 804 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.50% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,716, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $25,819 sits slightly below last year's $28,528.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you’re thinking about near-term resale. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the chance of taking a big depreciation hit later.

For a future seller, the key is to buy a clean, well-maintained example and avoid overpaying relative to the current market. Strong condition and desirable equipment should help your car stand out when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2022 G70 earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Genesis equips every G70 with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat reminder, and Safe Exit Assist. Highway Driving Assist is standard, and it combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist for easier long-distance driving.

A 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor are available, which adds useful visibility support when parking or changing lanes. The main caveat is that Highway Driving Assist cannot keep the car stopped for more than a few seconds in traffic before you need to resume it manually.

As far as crash protection goes, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives the G70 high marks, but its headlights are rated “Marginal,” which keeps it from earning a Top Safety Pick rating.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds refreshed styling, an improved infotainment system, and Highway Driving Assist.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,002, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $25,819 average.
• It offers strong value and performance with a more affordable entry point.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,416, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $25,819 average.
• It carries over the updated design and technology with a broader trim lineup.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want the refreshed styling, improved tech, and strong value balance. If price is your top priority, the 2021 is the smarter bargain; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling carryover, the 2023 is the alternative.
