Used 2022 Genesis G70 for Sale nearMesa, AZ

How much does the 2022 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 9.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 796 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, sleek design, and outstanding performance, and many also highlight the high-quality interior and excellent sound system. In practical terms, that lines up with a compact luxury sport sedan that feels distinctive, well equipped, and rewarding to drive.

The trade-offs are the cramped back seat and poor mileage, along with a driving character that prioritizes engagement over outright calmness. Even so, the G70’s value-focused positioning makes it especially appealing if you want premium features without stretching to a higher-priced luxury badge. Good and great deals account for 35.7% of listings, which supports the case for shopping carefully.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe the G70 as comfortable and outstanding in performance, and the ownership experience is reinforced by its strong value proposition and premium-feeling cabin. The model also brings a long warranty, Service Valet, and three years of complimentary connected services and scheduled maintenance.

Genesis positions the car as a premium sedan you can count on for everyday use, and the expert review reinforces that with its emphasis on value and long-term ownership support. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a neglected example could be more expensive to sort out than a well-kept one, so condition matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis G70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on the brakes, because the expert review flags them as a weak point. You should also pay close attention to cabin space and overall condition, since the G70’s premium appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.0T and 3.3T model series differ in equipment and character, with the 3.3T bringing the more powerful setup and available sport-oriented packages. The base setup is the one most likely to leave you wanting more if you expect the richest feature content.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four makes 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.3T uses a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 with 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is optional, and the eight-speed automatic is the only transmission.
• Safety package: Every G70 includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. A 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor are available, and Highway Driving Assist is standard.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 10.25-inch touchscreen, with navigation, satellite radio, over-the-air software updates, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. CarPlay and Android Auto require a wired connection rather than wireless.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.3T is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T, 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the value play if you want the G70’s style, standard safety tech, and upscale feel without paying for the stronger engine. It gives you the core luxury-sport-sedan experience at the lower entry point.
• 3.3T: This is the better choice if you want the G70 at its most entertaining, since it adds the twin-turbo V6 and the more performance-focused character that defines the car’s appeal. If you care most about driving enjoyment, this is the one to target.

Safety content notes that every G70 gets the standard Highway Driving Assist system, while the available visibility aids add useful extra confidence.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 796 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,729, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $25,740 sits slightly below last year's $28,483.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you’ll be better positioned to protect value later. The model’s premium image and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2022 G70 earns high marks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, but its headlights are rated “Marginal,” which keeps it from earning a Top Safety Pick rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every G70 comes with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. A 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor are available for added visibility.

The main caveat is the headlight result, which is the key shortcoming in the safety story.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• It offers strong style and value with a playful performance edge.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,577, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $25,740 average.
