Used 2022 Genesis G70 for Sale nearAlbuquerque, NM

How much does the 2022 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 8.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 809 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, sleek design, outstanding performance, high-quality interior, and excellent sound system. In use, that lines up with the car’s strong value proposition and its premium feel without pushing you into the highest price tier.

The main trade-offs are the cramped back seat and poor mileage, and the expert review also points to brakes that are lacking. For you, that means the G70 makes the most sense if you want a compact luxury sport sedan that feels upscale and engaging rather than maximally practical.

Good and great deals account for 38.1% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels comfortable, well built, and enjoyable to live with over time. It also highlights the kind of premium ownership experience that tends to matter when you plan to keep a car for years.

The expert review reinforces that dependability angle by describing the G70 as a terrific luxury sport sedan with long-term warranty protection and appealing owner services. It also notes three years of complimentary connected services and scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic satisfaction and more about condition-specific wear, especially if the car has been driven hard or neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis G70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important here because the model’s brakes are a known concern, and you’ll want to confirm that the car has been maintained properly.

Focus on how the car feels in everyday use, not just how it looks in photos. Pay close attention to the back seat, the condition of the brakes, and whether the equipment level matches the trim you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.0T and 3.3T model series differ in standard equipment, and the 3.3T can be enhanced with Sport Advanced, Sport Prestige, and Launch Edition packages. The base setup is the value play, while the higher-spec versions add more luxury and performance-oriented equipment.
• Powertrain: The 2.0T uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder with 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.3T uses a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 with 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is optional, and the eight-speed automatic is the only transmission.
• Safety package: Every G70 includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Higher visibility aids include a 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, satellite radio, over-the-air software updates, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require a wired connection, not wireless.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.3T is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T, 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the smarter starting point if you want the G70’s style, standard safety tech, and luxury feel without paying for the stronger engine. It’s the value-oriented choice for shoppers who care more about the overall package than maximum speed.
• 3.3T: This is the better pick if you want the G70 at its most entertaining, with the twin-turbo V6’s stronger output and the more performance-focused character that comes with it. It’s the best fit if you want the most rewarding version and are willing to pay for it.

The standard safety package is strong across the lineup, and Highway Driving Assist is included.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Genesis G70?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 809 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,314, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $26,314 sits slightly below last year's $28,866.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment level rather than broad market momentum alone.

Because the G70 has strong owner satisfaction and a premium reputation, well-kept examples should still attract interest. If you maintain the car carefully and keep service records, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2022 G70 earns high marks from IIHS, but its headlights are rated Marginal, which keeps it from earning a Top Safety Pick rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every G70 comes with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. The system is especially useful on long drives, though it can’t remain stopped in traffic for more than a few seconds before you need to resume it manually.

Higher-end visibility aids include a 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor. The main caveat is the Marginal headlight result, so if you drive often at night, that’s worth keeping in mind.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds refreshed styling, an improved infotainment system, and Highway Driving Assist.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,266, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,314 average.
• It emphasizes style, value, and driving enjoyment.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,050, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,314 average.
• It carries over the updated formula with polished design and user-friendly tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of updated features, strong satisfaction, and current-market pricing, the 2022 is the sweet spot. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want a newer carryover with similar appeal, the 2023 is worth a look, but you’ll pay more for it.
