How much does the 2022 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 13.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,480 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

Yes — the 2022 GMC Yukon XL earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its power, comfort, and large cargo space, and many also like the loaded features and smooth ride. That lines up well with its role as a full-size family hauler built around space, comfort, and flexibility. With 36.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience overall, with many reviewers describing the SUV as comfortable and trouble-free in day-to-day use. The strongest themes are long-term comfort, strong utility, and the kind of ownership confidence that comes from a vehicle people feel they can count on. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure any individual example has been maintained well and does not have unresolved mechanical concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report so you can confirm accident status, title status, and service patterns before you commit. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the drivetrain, electronics, and interior condition, since a large SUV like this can hide expensive wear if it has been used hard. Focus especially on how the vehicle drives, how the features operate, and whether the cabin and cargo area show signs of heavy family or towing use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Yukon XL?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,480 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $44,198, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $44,198 sits slightly below last year's $50,818.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average, especially if they present cleanly and have a strong service history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a strong choice if you want a spacious, comfort-focused full-size SUV with solid owner approval and a softer price than it had a year ago. If your priority is maximizing value, you should focus on the cleanest, best-priced 2022 examples first; if you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you another path to similar utility at a different price point.
