Used 2022 GMC Acadia for Sale near Murfreesboro, TN
The 2022 GMC Acadia, a midsize crossover, carries over with changes to the trim lineup, engine lineup, and standard features menu. The Acadia slots between the five-passenger Terrain and the full-size Yukon in the GMC lineup, and it competes with vehicles like the Ford Explorer and the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. With available seven-passenger capacity, the Acadia offers flexibility for larger families.
The current generation of Acadia dates back to the 2017 model year and was last refreshed for 2020. One of the big changes for 2022 is that last year’s base SL trim was dropped, leaving the SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali models. The AT4 trim now comes standard with three rows of seating.
A front-wheel drive (FWD) layout comes standard across most of the Acadia lineup, though the AT4 model, positioned as a capable off-roader, is available only with all-wheel drive (AWD). All FWD models are available with AWD as an option.
Up until this year, the Acadia came standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, but GMC has dropped that powerplant from the 2022 lineup. That means the Acadia’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, now drives most of the lineup, with 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It’s a considerable upgrade over last year’s base specs of 193 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque.
Upper-tier Acadia models, the AT4 and the Denali, feature V6 power courtesy of a 3.6-liter engine, also paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain is rated for 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. Maximum towing capacity for V6 Acadia models is 4,000 pounds when properly equipped.
In the cabin, you’ll find an 8-inch color touchscreen with Amazon Alexa and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as well as a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. SLT, AT4, and Denali models also come with navigation. A six-speaker audio system comes standard on the SLE, and a Bose eight-speaker system is standard on the upper three trims.
Last year, the GMC Pro Safety Plus package of advanced driver-assistance features was made standard on SLT, AT4, and Denali trims. Now, for 2022, the SLE model also comes loaded with this suite of features, which includes forward-collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, and IntelliBeam automatic headlights. Other standard safety features include lane-change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist. This update adds value across the Acadia lineup and makes the base SLE model more competitive with its rivals.
Safety technology options include a surround-view camera system, front park assist, a color head-up display, adaptive cruise control, and a rear camera mirror, though the latter two are exclusive to the Denali.
The 2022 GMC Acadia is on sale now. Prices have climbed substantially from the 2021 to 2022 model years, which can be attributed to the new, higher-spec base trim and more powerful standard engine. While last year’s model started below $30,000, the base 2022 Acadia SLE has an MSRP of $34,800. The AT4 starts at $41,400, and the Denali starts at $46,600.

(5 reviews)Love the AT4 really a solid fun ride.. comfortable and has the power to get on the freeway at a good pace.. love all the features
so far so good. My 3rd acadia and I love it. The new overhead view for parking is awesome. Only feature mine doesnt have is the heated steering wheel and I am already missing it. Not sure about the gear shifter, but I am sure I will get used to it. The auto stop stinks and I suggest buying the after market adapter to complete disable it.
Terrific overall car. Excellent value whether Denali or other models. Downsized for 2015, preferred it to stay the same. Comparable to Enclave, Traverse, Cadillac CSV(6).
This car has everything we were looking for in a vehicle. The space in the car itself is great for a family of 6. This car is bigger than my Infiniti qx60 and has most of the features my Infiniti has. This has the AT4 package which is an upgrade with tow pkg. love it so far! It is also affordable!
Loving my 2022 Acadia AT4 so far however BIG disappointment is that several of the comfort features don’t work such as the folding mirrors, heated seats and parking sensors… apparently this has to do with the microchip shortage, would have been good to know this in advance, may not have change my decision but still.
