You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title status, and service records before you get too far into a deal. Focus on how the truck was maintained and whether its equipment matches the kind of towing or hauling you plan to do.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $49,796, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $54,603 average.
• It offers strong towing-focused capability.

The 2022 is the better all-around pick if you want a newer truck with strong owner satisfaction and a healthier mix of clean inventory. If your main goal is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the more price-sensitive path and may be the better fit if its lower average price matters more than the newer-year premium.
