Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,317, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $36,833 average.
• It introduced the redesigned cabin and hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,340, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $36,833 average.
• It adds the Raptor R and Heritage Edition.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want strong owner satisfaction, broad inventory, and a softer price than last year. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense only if you want the newer special editions and are willing to pay more.
