Is the 2022 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 4.86/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2022 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable and satisfying over time, especially for its strong performance and comfortable daily use. The overview also notes that you should pay close attention to maintenance history and inspection results, which matters if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk as a used buyer.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or deferred maintenance. Because the model has a long-running design and earlier-generation reliability concerns are mentioned, condition and service records matter more than mileage alone. If possible, compare several listings side by side so you can judge how well each one has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Dodge Durango?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,736 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,196, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $30,196 sits slightly below last year's $32,818.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more efficiently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you can improve your odds of holding value better than the average listing. Strong demand for well-kept examples should still support future resale interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,847, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $30,196 average.
• It adds Tow N Go and a more extreme performance focus.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,562, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $30,196 average.
• It adds standard heated front seats and the return of the Hellcat.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a strong mix of price, satisfaction, and available inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you want the newer feature set and are willing to pay more.
