Why it stands out
The 2022 Dodge Charger maintains its status as a modern muscle car with a blend of power and practicality. With its range of trims, from the base SXT to the high-octane SRT Hellcat, the Charger appeals to a wide array of buyers looking for performance in a four-door format. Regularly hailed for its strong engine lineup, the Charger features the iconic 5.7-liter Hemi V8 in the R/T trim, and the exhilarating 6.2-liter supercharged V8 in the Hellcat, providing supercar-level power at a more accessible price. Inside, while the design may feel somewhat dated compared to more modern vehicles, it compensates with user-friendly technology and a spacious cabin for passengers. However, these strengths are somewhat tempered by an underwhelming selection of safety features and a less than stellar fuel economy, which might dissuade some buyers. Still, for those who cherish old-school muscle car excitement, the Charger remains a distinctive choice in the automotive landscape.
