What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Dodge Challenger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough pre-purchase inspection so you can spot signs of hard use, neglect, or prior damage. Pay close attention to overall condition, since this model’s size and performance-oriented appeal can mean some examples have been driven more aggressively than average. If possible, look closely at maintenance records and make sure the car’s condition matches the seller’s description.

What is the 2022 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $33,509 sits slightly below last year's $33,605.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which can help future sellers because you are not dealing with a sharp drop in value. The year-round price range also shows that buyers are still willing to pay a meaningful premium for well-kept examples, especially when condition and equipment are strong. If you maintain the car well and keep it clean on history and condition, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.72/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.72/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,496, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $33,509 average.
• It emphasizes straight-line speed and performance value.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,087, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $33,509 average.
• It adds final-year special editions and more extreme horsepower.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price stability, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the primary year to target. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense only if you want the final-year special-edition appeal and are willing to pay more.
