Used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV for Sale nearTacoma, WA

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 208 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare before buying.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated model with an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

The Bolt EV fits you well if you want a practical, mainstream EV with a bolder look, a spacious cabin, and everyday usability. Its standard DC fast charging and 259-mile range make it easier to live with than many early electric cars, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto add convenience.

The main trade-off is inconvenient control placement, which can make the cabin less intuitive than its strengths suggest. You also give up the more sophisticated Super Cruise system that’s available on the Bolt EUV.

Good and great deals account for 36.5% of listings, which points to a market with some room for value shopping.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Bolt EV is presented as a practical, mainstream electric car with a simple, conventional infotainment setup and a usable range that supports daily driving. Its standard DC fast charging also makes it easier to use beyond short commutes, which helps reduce ownership friction.

The performance setup is straightforward: a single electric motor, front-wheel drive, and quick low-end response. That kind of simple EV drivetrain can be appealing for long-term ownership because there are fewer moving parts than in a gas-powered vehicle.

The battery and electric drive components are backed by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty, which is helpful for used buyers who want some remaining coverage. For a used EV, your biggest long-term risk is battery condition and prior charging habits, so it’s smart to confirm how the car was charged and whether it has been consistently maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper vehicle-by-vehicle review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on battery condition, charging behavior, and overall cabin and control usability. Pay close attention to whether the car has been used mostly for home charging or frequent DC fast charging, since that can help you judge how the battery may have been treated.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 1LT includes 17-inch aluminum wheels, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, solar-absorbing glass, manual front seats, a 60/40 split-fold rear seat, automatic climate control, and a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The 2LT adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and leather seating, so it’s the better choice if you want more comfort and a more upscale feel.
• Powertrain: The Bolt EV uses a single electric motor with front-wheel drive, making 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The quick low-end response and low center of gravity help it feel nimble in everyday driving.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. The 1LT can add rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change alert with side blind zone alert through the Driver Confidence Package.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, plus a more conventional Chevrolet Infotainment System 3 layout.
• Range & charging: The Bolt EV has a 65-kilowatt-hour battery pack, a 259-mile range, and standard DC fast charging that can add up to 90 miles in 30 minutes. Level 2 charging adds about 20 miles of range per hour.
• Battery health: Ask for battery state-of-health details, review charging history, and confirm how the car was typically charged. Home charging is usually gentler for daily use, while frequent DC fast charging can be worth discussing with the seller. Also check how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV is offered in 2 trim levels: 1LT and 2LT.

Here's the short version:

• 1LT: This is the value pick if you want the Bolt EV’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, and the standard safety suite, so it covers the essentials well.
• 2LT: Choose this if you want the more comfortable and better-equipped version. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and leather seating make it the more pleasant daily driver, especially if you spend a lot of time behind the wheel.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and the 1LT can add extra parking and blind-spot-related features through the Driver Confidence Package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have some leverage if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 208 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,242, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV's resale value?

The current average of $19,123 sits slightly above last year's $19,024.

That small increase suggests the Bolt EV has held its value fairly well in the near term. For a future seller, that kind of stability can be helpful because it points to steady buyer interest rather than a sharp drop in demand.

The model’s practical range, standard fast charging, and strong value proposition all support its appeal in the used market. If you keep the car in good condition and preserve battery health, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV safe?

The 2022 Bolt EV earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. The 1LT can add rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change alert with side blind zone alert through an optional package.

One caveat to keep in mind is the recall history tied to rare manufacturing defects that increased fire risk. That makes it especially important to confirm recall work and review the vehicle’s service history before you buy.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds standard DC fast charging, making it more usable for everyday EV ownership.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,087, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $19,123 average.
• It emphasizes affordable electric commuting with strong range and a spacious cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the better-rounded Bolt EV, the 2022 is the smarter pick because it adds standard fast charging and keeps the strong range and value formula intact. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better budget alternative, especially if you mainly want an efficient daily commuter.
