I have had this car a little over a year and a half . I put roughly 100 plus miles on it everyday for work . I have the basic 2019 EV Bolt , no Bells and Whistles , gets me around 233 miles per charge in temp over 70f . I have a charger at the house which makes it so much easier than looking for a charging station , I plug it in at night while i sleep , and at 630 am i am off , 5 days a week . I never run out of battery , ever ! The car is super fun , when i say fast , i mean it ! 0-60 in 4.5 secs, does 80 or 90mph , maybe faster but why , its a great commuter car !! I went from $6oo-$800 / mth on gas before the price hike , now i spend around $250/ mth on Electricity for the car alone. Not too bad ! Comfort .... well its roomy and comfortable , great heat and AC . It wasnt built to be luxurious and super attractive . But it does the job ! Would take this car on long trips ? Well before doing so i better know where the charging stations are for sure , otherwise i use it just for work . I see plenty of people everyday on the highway , someday most of those vechicles are going to be Electric , not because they are being built to save the Planet , but because they are cool to drive and fast at take off , the accessories that some Electric vechicles are coming out with will certainly be head turners . You will own one before too long and all of the above that i wrote will become your new reality , and it will make you smile for sure. Cold Weather ..... Here is the part that may be concerning . Winter time can be harsh on Electric cars , the Battery and its IONS dont move around as quickly reducing the capacity of the battery to relatively concerning numbers . For example , summer i get 240 miles per charge , during the winter that number drops to 160 miles per charge . In the meantime , hire yourself an electrician and get that charging circuit to your garage , give yourself enough juice to do the job , 30 amp min , 40 amp ideal , 50 amp max .... these numbers are at 240 volts, which is what you would like to have if possible , otherwise 120v circuit will work but take 12 hrs to charge . ! of your cars should be Electric in the next 5 yrs , the other one can be gas for those long vacation trips to the lake , ocean or mountain Enjoy the future !
