How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV cost?

Prices have softened 2.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 439 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV earns a 4.7/5 from owners and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its affordability, efficiency, and comfort, and they also like the convenience features and smooth one-pedal driving. The expert review echoes that practical appeal, highlighting comfortable seating, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and strong value for money.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and all-wheel drive is not available. For you, that means the Bolt EUV makes the most sense if you want an easy-to-live-with EV rather than something sporty or especially rugged.

It also fits buyers who want a roomier, more SUV-like EV with advanced driver assistance at a more accessible price point. Good and great deals account for 38.5% of listings, which is a healthy share for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially in city use. It also emphasizes affordability, efficiency, comfort, and smooth one-pedal driving, which are all traits that usually matter in long-term daily use.

The expert review adds that the Bolt EUV’s practical setup and easy-to-use driving features support everyday dependability. Chevy also includes an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty, which helps reduce long-term ownership risk for used buyers, though battery condition still deserves careful attention.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where battery condition and charging behavior matter. Focus on overall condition, charging equipment, and whether the car has been used mostly for home charging or frequent DC fast charging. If possible, ask for battery state-of-health information and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is the base trim and does not include Super Cruise, while the Premier adds leather upholstery and makes Super Cruise available as an option. The Launch Edition includes model-specific alloy wheels, an illuminated charge port, a standard panoramic sunroof, and standard Super Cruise.
• Powertrain: It uses a single electric motor with front-wheel drive, producing 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Chevy says zero to 60 mph takes about 7 seconds, and the setup favors efficiency and everyday use over excitement.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a forward-distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking. Super Cruise is not available on the base LT, is optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.2-inch touchscreen, an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and standard wireless phone charging. A 4G LTE WiFi hotspot and Amazon Alexa compatibility are also available.
• Range & charging: Chevy quotes a 250-mile range, an 11-kilowatt onboard charger, a seven-hour recharge time from a 240-volt Level 2 AC source, and up to 95 miles of range in 30 minutes from DC fast charging.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, ask how the car has been charged, and confirm warranty coverage. Home charging is generally easier on the battery than repeated DC fast charging, so usage history matters.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Premier, Launch Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value play if you want the Bolt EUV’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the standard safety suite, the 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the 250-mile range, but you give up Super Cruise and some of the nicer comfort and convenience upgrades.
• Premier: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds leather upholstery and opens the door to Super Cruise as an option. If you want a more upscale feel and plan to add the signature driver-assist feature, this is the trim to target.
• Launch Edition: This is the most feature-rich version, with model-specific alloy wheels, an illuminated charge port, a standard panoramic sunroof, and standard Super Cruise. It makes the most sense if you want the most complete Bolt EUV package and are comfortable paying more for it.

Super Cruise is not available on the base LT, is optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 439 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,646, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV's resale value?

The current average of $19,551 sits slightly below last year's $20,001.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the right price, you may have less downside than you would with a newer, more expensive EV.

The Bolt EUV’s value proposition also helps support demand: it offers useful range, strong equipment, and a well-liked ownership experience. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV safe?

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a forward-distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking. Super Cruise is the standout driver-assistance system here, but it is not available on the base LT, is optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.

The system is designed for hands-free driving on mapped limited-access highways, but it still requires an attentive driver. That means the Bolt EUV’s safety story is strongest when you understand both its standard active-safety equipment and the trim-level differences for Super Cruise.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It was the first non-Cadillac model with Super Cruise, giving it a standout tech advantage for the year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,802, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $19,551 average.
• Chevrolet lowered prices and kept the model highly affordable.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2022 is the stronger buy because prices have eased and the feature set remains compelling. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year, the 2023 is worth considering for its lower-positioned pricing strategy and continued affordability.
