Used 2022 Cadillac XT5 for Sale nearWorcester, MA

How much does the 2022 Cadillac XT5 cost?

Prices have softened 12.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,393 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac XT5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, and our experts rate it 6.7/10. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners most often praise its comfort, smooth performance, and spacious interior. The V6 engine and safety features also come up as recurring positives, which fits a luxury SUV that aims to feel refined and easy to live with. In use, it’s best suited to you if you want a comfortable, upscale crossover rather than a flashy or especially sporty one.

The trade-offs are clear: advanced safety features are not standard, the ergonomics are awkward, and value for money is weak. Even so, the XT5’s broad appeal comes from its comfort-first personality and familiar luxury-SUV layout, and 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with owners repeatedly highlighting comfort, smooth performance, and a spacious cabin that holds up well over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes the XT5’s quiet cabin and smooth, linear power delivery, which supports the impression of a well-sorted daily driver.

Cadillac’s four-year, 50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain coverage add some reassurance for used buyers. Long-term ownership risk is still worth watching because the XT5’s value proposition depends heavily on trim and options, so a neglected or poorly equipped example can feel less satisfying over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, because accident-free status alone doesn’t tell you how well a vehicle was maintained. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the suspension, brakes, electronics, and interior wear, especially if the vehicle has higher mileage or a long options list. Focus on condition and equipment balance, since the XT5’s appeal depends heavily on how well it was optioned.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury and Premium Luxury models get standard 18-inch alloy wheels, while the Sport uses 20-inch wheels and darker trim with a mesh grille. The Premium Luxury and Sport can also be upgraded with the Platinum Package, which adds semi-aniline leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped instrument panel and door trim, a microfiber sueded headliner, and a heated steering wheel.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while the available 3.6-liter V6 makes 310 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque. Both engines use a nine-speed automatic, and front-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive available.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. The optional Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and rear automatic braking, while the Technology Package adds rear pedestrian alert, surround-vision camera system, night vision, and automatic parking assist.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. An 8-inch digital instrument cluster display and a head-up display are available with the Technology Package.
• Fuel efficiency: The base turbo-four is rated at 24 mpg combined, with 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway in front-wheel-drive form. The V6 is rated at 21 mpg combined, with 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway in front-wheel-drive form.

Which 2022 Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core XT5 experience with the standard turbo-four, 18-inch wheels, and the basic luxury-SUV formula. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point, but it’s also the trim most likely to feel stripped relative to the more appealing upper versions.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the Sport’s personality. It can be paired with the V6 and the Platinum Package, which is where the XT5’s comfort and refinement really come together.
• Sport: This trim adds the V6 as standard, 20-inch wheels, darker exterior trim, and front Brembo brakes with red calipers. Choose it if you want the most distinctive look and the strongest standard hardware, but it’s not the obvious value pick.

The safety content also notes that the XT5’s more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so check carefully for the Driver Assist Package and Technology Package on any used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,393 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,591, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $27,591 sits slightly below last year's $31,630.

That decline suggests the XT5 has moved into a more buyer-friendly pricing zone, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the market has already adjusted downward, so holding value will depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on model-year freshness alone. Well-equipped examples with desirable features should remain easier to move than base versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 safe?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 received top “Good” scores in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, and the top “Superior” rating for front-crash prevention tech when equipped with optional enhanced automatic emergency braking. It earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests, and four-star ratings in rollover crash testing.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The XT5 comes standard with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. The optional Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and rear automatic braking, while the Technology Package adds rear pedestrian alert, surround-vision camera system, night vision, and automatic parking assist.

One caveat is that the XT5’s advanced safety features are not standard, so you’ll want to confirm package content carefully on any used example. It also received a “Marginal” headlight rating and an “Acceptable” rating for LATCH child seat anchor ease of use.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over with minimal changes and keeps the same comfort-focused luxury-SUV formula.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,700, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $27,591 average.
• It offers a more finely appointed feel with easy-to-use tech and broad appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,422, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $27,591 average.
• It emphasizes style, space, and comfort with a polished presence.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, inventory, and satisfaction, the 2022 is the sensible target. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the cheaper path into the same basic XT5 experience.
