Is the 2022 Audi Q8 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Audi Q8 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as Audi’s flagship SUV with a coupe-like shape, two-row layout, and a more exclusive, luxury-focused character than the Q7 it’s based on. You also get a well-rounded powertrain, rich interior materials, and a setup that emphasizes style and refinement over maximum space. With 43.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to find a compelling example.

Is the 2022 Audi Q8 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Q8’s appeal comes from its strong standard equipment, upscale materials, and well-rounded powertrain, all of which support a premium ownership experience. Its two-row layout and refined road manners make it feel more special than a typical large crossover, while the available equipment adds to its everyday usability. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained carefully, since premium features and complex systems can be costly if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi Q8?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the vehicle’s condition matches the listing. Pay close attention to signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and whether the premium equipment works as expected. Because this model leans heavily into luxury features and technology, condition matters as much as mileage when you’re comparing examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi Q8?

It looks like a buyer’s market right now, with meaningful deal availability and a healthy pool of listings to choose from.

• Deal availability: 43.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 802 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,009, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi Q8's resale value?

The current average of $37,012 sits slightly below last year's $45,044.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q8 more attractive to used buyers today but may also mean future sellers need to price competitively. If you buy well now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who purchased when prices were higher. Strong condition and a clean history will matter a lot if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 43.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 Q8 is the right pick if you want the model-year sweet spot of strong owner satisfaction, a favorable price trend, and plenty of inventory to shop. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth considering, but the 2022 remains the better all-around choice if you want a premium, style-first SUV with broad market availability.
