Used 2021 Volkswagen Arteon for Sale nearAtlanta, GA

How much does the 2021 Volkswagen Arteon cost?

Prices have softened 8.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 110 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Volkswagen Arteon a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Volkswagen Arteon earns 5/5 from users and 8/10 from expert testing. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It comes across as Volkswagen’s flagship sedan, with upgraded styling, interior finishes, connectivity, and driver assistance. The design and premium materials give it a near-luxury feel, and the available equipment can push it further in that direction.

The main trade-offs are poor value for money and poor fuel economy. If you want a stylish, upscale-feeling sedan with plenty of cargo space and a more premium presentation than many mainstream rivals, it fits that brief well.

34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Volkswagen Arteon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Arteon is presented as a refined, well-equipped flagship with a premium cabin and a broad set of standard safety and convenience features. Its turbocharged 2.0-liter engine is described as up to the task of moving the car, and the chassis tuning emphasizes comfort and adaptability for long highway drives.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a simple lineup and a reasonably priced package for the level of equipment and quality. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its upscale positioning may not translate into the strongest resale support.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Volkswagen Arteon?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are comparing cars with similar prices. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior damage, and whether the equipment and trim level match the listing description.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE gives you the core Arteon experience, but the higher trims add more of the upscale equipment that helps this car feel special. If you want the strongest feature set, look closely at the upper trims rather than assuming the base model delivers the full near-luxury impression.
• Powertrain: The Arteon uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard on lower trims, while all-wheel drive is available or standard depending on trim.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a rear-view camera. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keep assist, park distance control, high beam control, travel assist, emergency assist, and dynamic road-sign display.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 10-inch Digital Cockpit display and an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Volkswagen Car-Net, navigation, Bluetooth, HD radio, and SiriusXM are also included.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-wheel-drive model is rated at 22 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined. The all-wheel-drive version is rated at 20 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Volkswagen Arteon trim should I buy?

The 2021 Volkswagen Arteon is offered in 3 trim levels: SE, SEL R-Line, and SEL Premium R-Line.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Arteon’s core styling, cabin quality, and standard tech without stretching the budget. It makes sense if you want the look and feel of the car at the lowest price.
• SEL R-Line: This is the best-value trim if you want the Arteon to feel more complete. It adds more of the available comfort and driver-assistance equipment, and it is the trim where the car’s upscale mission starts to come through more clearly.
• SEL Premium R-Line: This is the most fully equipped version, with the richest comfort and convenience content. Choose it if you want the most premium Arteon experience and are willing to pay for it.

The SEL R-Line and SEL Premium R-Line include the available safety systems, while the SEL Premium R-Line adds park assist, rear park distance control, and an overhead view camera.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Volkswagen Arteon?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to make shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 110 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,682, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Volkswagen Arteon's resale value?

The current average of $20,682 sits slightly below last year's $22,540.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make the car easier to purchase used but less favorable for a future seller. If you buy one now, you should expect resale to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim level.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Volkswagen Arteon safe?

The 2021 Arteon was recently awarded a Top Safety Pick+ rating by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Volkswagen equips it with a broad safety suite that includes eight airbags, anti-lock braking, tire pressure monitoring, electronic stability control, automatic post-collision braking, intelligent crash response, a reactive hood, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a rear-view camera.

Higher trims add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keep assist, park distance control, high beam control, travel assist, emergency assist, dynamic road-sign display, park assist, rear park distance control, and an overhead view camera.

Should I buy a 2021 Volkswagen Arteon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings upgraded styling, interior finishes, connectivity, and driver assistance.

Consider the 2022 if:

• It adds a more expressive design and newfound performance capability.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the better pick if you want a well-equipped Arteon at a softer used price, especially if you value its upscale presentation and strong safety credentials. If you are willing to spend more for a newer version with a more distinctive character and improved performance feel, the 2022 is the alternative to keep on your list.
