Used 2021 Toyota Supra for Sale nearDetroit, MI

How much does the 2021 Toyota Supra cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 213 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Toyota Supra a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Drivers consistently praise its sporty performance, fast acceleration, and eye-catching design. The car also stands out for its great handling and powerful engine, and it feels special thanks to its uncommon pedigree and attention-grabbing styling.

The trade-offs are clear: the ride quality is poor, visibility is poor, and a manual transmission is not available. That makes it a focused sports car rather than a broadly practical one, so it fits you best if you want style and driving enjoyment more than everyday versatility.

Good and great deals account for 30.0% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2021 Toyota Supra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as a car they really enjoy living with, and the feedback points to strong performance, fast acceleration, and a trouble-free ownership experience. The powertrain is also described as smooth and linear, which supports the impression that it should be easy to count on over time.

The car’s focused sports-car setup means you should still pay close attention to wear items and overall condition before buying used. A clean history and a careful inspection matter most if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Toyota Supra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this is a low-volume sports car with a focused mission. Pay close attention to ride quality, visibility, and whether the car has the equipment you want for daily use. If you’re comparing examples, condition and option content matter a lot here.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.0 is the more affordable entry point, while the 3.0 adds more power and better-equipped hardware. The 3.0 Premium swaps the microfiber for full leather, and the base model is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with 255 horsepower and a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 382 hp. Both use an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, and the four-cylinder is the lighter, more efficient choice.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, auto high beams, and knee airbags for driver and passenger. Blind-spot monitoring, rear emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are included in the Safety and Technology Package.
• Infotainment: All coupes have an 8.8-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay is included with the Safety and Technology Package, along with navigation, a 12-speaker JBL stereo, and smartphone-connected remote features.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0 is rated at 25 mpg city and 32 mpg highway, while the 3.0 is rated at 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.

Which 2021 Toyota Supra trim should I buy?

The 2021 Toyota Supra is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0, 3.0.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0: This is the best-value choice if you want the Supra experience at the lowest price. It still gives you the sharp styling, strong handling, and a turbocharged engine, but you give up some of the more premium hardware and the extra punch of the six-cylinder.
• 3.0: This is the one to buy if you want the strongest performance and the more complete Supra setup. It adds the more powerful engine and better-equipped hardware, making it the better pick if you care most about speed and overall driving satisfaction.

The Safety and Technology Package adds important safety and convenience features, so it’s worth prioritizing if you want the most complete used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Toyota Supra?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 213 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,343, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Toyota Supra's resale value?

The current average of $47,887 sits slightly above last year's $47,510.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed steady rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For you, that usually means the car has maintained buyer interest without becoming overheated. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you should have a reasonable shot at holding value better than a more ordinary sports coupe.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Toyota Supra safe?

The 2021 Toyota Supra has not been crash-tested by NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, auto high beams, and knee airbags for both the driver and passenger. Blind-spot monitoring, rear emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are included in the Safety and Technology Package, so you’ll want to look for that package if you want the most complete safety setup.

Should I buy a 2021 Toyota Supra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds two new engines, giving you a more affordable entry point and a more powerful option.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $49,466, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $47,887 average.
• It marked the Supra’s long-awaited return and emphasized performance.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $51,639, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $47,887 average.
• It keeps the focus on driving enjoyment with updated engine choices.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and market stability, the 2021 is the smart starting point. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2021 still gives you a strong used-buy case without paying the premium of the newer year.
