Used 2021 Toyota C-HR for Sale near Colorado

How much does the 2021 Toyota C-HR cost?

Prices have softened 2.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 505 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Toyota C-HR a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Toyota C-HR earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, fun-to-drive character, and fuel efficiency, and they also like the modern technology features and comfortable interior. The trade-offs are the poor fuel economy, noise, and poor visibility noted in expert testing.

That mix fits you best if you want a subcompact crossover with personality and value rather than maximum practicality. With 32.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Toyota C-HR reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with buyers repeatedly highlighting the car’s reliable feel and the confidence that comes with it. Expert testing also describes Toyota’s tried-and-true dependability and reliability, which reinforces the idea that this is a model you can count on over time.

Toyota also includes a three-month WiFi Connect trial and a one-year trial of Safety Connect, which adds some ownership convenience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear from its prior life.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Toyota C-HR?

At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the cabin and exterior wear match the mileage and asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE comes with automatic LED headlamps and 17-inch alloy wheels, while higher trims add 18-inch wheels and more cabin equipment. The Limited stands out with a high- and low-beam LED adaptive front lighting system, and the XLE and Nightshade add more comfort and convenience features than the base model.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT, 144 horsepower, and 139 pound-feet of torque. It is front-wheel drive only, and the fuel-economy figures are 27 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 29 mpg combined.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane centering, pre-collision braking with steering assist and pedestrian detection, and Road Sign Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not available on the base model and become standard starting with the XLE trim.
• Infotainment: Every model gets an 8-inch touchscreen with Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, plus a six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, and a three-month SiriusXM trial. Connected Services is also standard, and the Audio Plus package adds HD Radio on all but the base model.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA fuel-economy ratings are 27 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 29 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Toyota C-HR trim should I buy?

The 2021 Toyota C-HR is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, XLE, Nightshade, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core C-HR experience at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the funky styling, standard safety tech, and the best value without paying for extras you may not need.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds useful comfort and convenience upgrades, including a leather-trimmed steering wheel, auto-folding power mirrors, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. If you want the smartest balance of equipment and price, this is the one to target.
• Nightshade: This trim is for you if you care most about the blacked-out appearance package and want a more distinctive look. It sits between the XLE and Limited and adds black exterior accents and black fabric upholstery with gunmetal trim.
• Limited: This is the most upscale choice, with heated front seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, ambient lighting, and the adaptive front lighting system. Buy this one if you want the most comfort and the richest feature set.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not available on the base LE and become standard starting with the XLE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Toyota C-HR?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find decent opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 505 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,150, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Toyota C-HR's resale value?

The current average of $19,684 sits slightly below last year's $20,261.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already moved through some of its depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For you, that means a well-bought C-HR may hold up reasonably well as long as you avoid overpaying today.

The trim mix and standard safety equipment should help keep it appealing to used shoppers later on. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Toyota C-HR safe?

The 2021 Toyota C-HR was named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it earns four-star ratings for later-release models from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard, with adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane centering, pre-collision braking with steering assist and pedestrian detection, and Road Sign Assist. The C-HR also includes 10 airbags, hill-start assist, and a rearview camera.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the base model and become standard starting with the XLE trim. If you’re shopping used, that trim-level gap is worth paying attention to because it affects everyday confidence in traffic and parking lots.

Should I buy a 2021 Toyota C-HR or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 stands out for standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, plus the addition of the Nightshade trim and updated feature content.

The bottom line: If you want the C-HR’s distinctive styling, standard safety tech, and a price that has eased from last year, the 2021 is the one to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, shop carefully for a lower-mileage example near the bottom of the range and prioritize the XLE for the best mix of features and value.
