About 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport
Nissan’s SUV lineup has expanded over the last decade to include several models. The smallest is the Kicks crossover and the largest is the Armada, but there are a whopping four other vehicles in between. One, the Rogue Sport, rolls into the 2021 model year with few changes, following a major update for 2020. The Rogue Sport is an entirely different model from the standard Rogue, and slots into the Nissan lineup between the smaller Kicks crossover and larger Rogue. The 2020 model year brought a facelift to the Rogue Sport, as well as a host of standard safety features and equipment upgrades. Changes for 2021 include an upgrade to the SV model with heated seats and a remote start system. The vehicle’s options packages have also been revised. The 2021 Rogue Sport is offered in three trims: S, SV, and SL. All models get a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that produces 141 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD). All-wheel drive (AWD) can be optioned in. Standard features include a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and USB inputs. Every Rogue Sport also gets a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, rear automatic braking, lane-departure warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. A driver-alertness monitor is available for the top two trims. Nissan offers two major upgrade packages for the 2021 Rogue Sport. The first is available for SV models and brings an Intelligent Around-View Monitor camera system, leatherette upholstery, a memory driver’s seat, a driver alertness monitor, adaptive cruise control with full speed range and hold, steering assist, and an electronic parking brake. The Premium Package is available for SL models, and adds a power sliding moonroof, LED headlights, a power passenger’s seat, and a Bose audio system. The 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport is on sale now. It carries a starting price of $25,010 for the base S model and tops out at $31,140. Pricing includes a $1,150 destination fee, but excludes taxes and options.
