Should I buy a 2021 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed version with the updated interior, stronger performance hardware, and a market that still looks reasonably balanced, the 2021 is the primary year to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but you should expect to trade away some of the refresh-era appeal and current-market stability that make the 2021 especially compelling.
