Why it stands out
The 2021 Subaru WRX makes a mark in the competitive sports sedan landscape primarily through its blend of performance and practicality. It boasts a powerful turbocharged engine that delivers impressive acceleration and sharp cornering capabilities, all while providing the versatility of a four-door sedan. This makes the WRX an appealing choice for driving enthusiasts who need a vehicle that can accommodate daily life. Its standard all-wheel drive adds an element of stability and control, particularly in adverse conditions, setting it apart from many competitors. While some may find the interior lacking in refinement compared to rivals like the Volkswagen GTI or Honda Civic Si, the WRX is built for engagement rather than luxury. The balance of excitement and accessibility at its price point makes the WRX an attractive option for those seeking spirited driving without straying into luxury territory.

Great car all around. Clutch is stiff and the bite point is high, so it was an adjustment coming from something that was the opposite. Very quick, very little lag in the turbo. Feels faster than it is which makes it fun. Cobb intake was already installed at purchase (low miles though) had to tune to account for it but made the car feel smoother and more responsive. Likely will be upgrading further, but not pushing too far to failure.

I have the Limited. It has most everything I needed. Would like to have had power Front passenger seat. I would have been happy with the Base model which costs a lot less - however, none were available. Compared it to Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Hyundai Veloster. This car has what I wanted most; an manual transmission.
