Used 2021 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearMidland, TX

How much does the 2021 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 11.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,889 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Nissan Rogue earns a 5/5 user rating and a 9.00/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the smooth, refined ride, the roomy interior, and the attractive design. They also point to its value for the price and the impressive features that make it feel well equipped for everyday use.

The main trade-offs are fairly pedestrian performance and a stereo that falls short of the rest of the package. That matters most if you want a more energetic drive or a stronger audio experience.

For you, the Rogue makes the most sense if comfort, style, and livability matter more than outright speed. It also fits well if you want a compact crossover that feels more polished than basic.

Good and great deals account for 34.2% of listings, so there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable, smooth, and refined, with many highlighting the vehicle’s trouble-free feel and the confidence they have in it over time. The review summary also points to strong value and a roomy cabin, both of which tend to support positive ownership experiences.

The expert review adds that the CVT is a good one because you barely notice it, and the overall package is tuned to feel predictable and composed. That kind of calibration usually helps a vehicle feel easier to live with day after day.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core design and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a vehicle-by-vehicle review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you’re shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rogue S starts with an 8-inch touchscreen, while the SV and SL add NissanConnect Services, a WiFi hotspot, and Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration. The Platinum trim adds the most upscale cabin treatment, including quilted semi-aniline leather, contrast stitching, and ambient lighting.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a direct-injected 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 181 horsepower and a CVT. Available all-wheel drive, up to 8.2 inches of ground clearance, and Snow and Off-Road driving modes add capability for rougher conditions.
• Safety package: Every Rogue gets Nissan Safety Shield 360, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control starts with the SV as part of ProPilot Assist, and the SV also adds a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: S trim includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Higher trims can add a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation with real-time traffic, and a Bose premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The tested Rogue SL with front-wheel drive returned 27.5 mpg on a mixed driving loop.

Which 2021 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: Rogue S, Rogue SV, Rogue SL, Rogue Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Rogue S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Rogue experience with the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Nissan Safety Shield 360. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the redesign.
• Rogue SV: This is the best-value trim because it adds NissanConnect Services, a WiFi hotspot, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration, adaptive cruise control through ProPilot Assist, and a surround-view camera system.
• Rogue SL: This trim adds a little luxury to the equation, and it’s the right step up if you want a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top model. It also opens the door to the Premium Package, which brings the larger touchscreen and upgraded tech.
• Rogue Platinum: This is the most luxurious version, with semi-aniline quilted leather, contrast stitching, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.8-inch head-up display.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, while ProPilot Assist starts with the SV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,889 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,134, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $18,134 sits slightly below last year's $20,413.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you reduce the amount of value left to lose before resale.

Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2021 Nissan Rogue earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. Ten airbags, a driver monitoring system, and a rear-seat reminder system are also included.

Adaptive cruise control starts with the SV trim as part of ProPilot Assist, which also adds lane-centering assistance. The SV adds a surround-view camera system, while the SL Premium Package and Platinum bring upgraded ProPilot Assist with Navi-link technology.

The review also notes that crash-test results were unavailable at the time of testing, so you should still pay attention to any later published crash data when comparing used examples.

Should I buy a 2021 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a more polished ride, upscale materials, and stronger technology.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $15,015, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $18,134 average.
• It remains practical and easy to live with, but feels older and less refined.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $19,121, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $18,134 average.
• It adds a new turbocharged engine and a more modern mechanical setup.

The bottom line: If you want the best blend of refinement, tech, and current-market value, the 2021 is the strongest pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 can be the cheaper route, while the 2022 is worth considering if you want the newer powertrain and don’t mind paying more.
