Used 2021 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearBaltimore, MD

How much does the 2021 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 11.06% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,922 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and equipment.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Nissan Rogue earns a 5/5 user rating and a 9/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the smooth, refined ride, roomy interior, attractive design, and strong value for the price. The Rogue’s carefully executed redesign also fits shoppers who want a stylish, premium-feeling compact crossover with everyday comfort and livability.

The main trade-offs are fairly pedestrian performance and a stereo that falls short of the rest of the cabin. Even so, the overall package is well suited to you if you want a polished, comfortable SUV rather than a sporty one.

The market also looks healthy, with 32.0% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for the Rogue’s smooth ride, impressive features, and roomy interior. Reviewers also describe it as a vehicle they feel good about keeping for the long term, especially when value and comfort matter.

The expert review reinforces that impression by describing the Rogue as cost-effective, well packaged, and a strong example of a modern compact crossover. It also notes that the first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should still verify condition carefully, since a well-liked SUV can hide wear if maintenance history is incomplete.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you like, even if it looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-mileage examples or vehicles with incomplete service records. Focus on cabin condition, electronics, and signs of hard use, since those areas can reveal how the SUV was treated.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim starts with an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a clean, logical cabin layout. Higher trims add more upscale materials, a panoramic glass sunroof, and more premium amenities, while Platinum brings quilted semi-aniline leather, contrast stitching, and ambient lighting.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a direct-injected 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 181 horsepower and a CVT. It is adequate for daily driving, and available all-wheel drive, 8.2 inches of ground clearance, and Snow and Off-Road driving modes broaden its capability.
• Safety package: Every Rogue gets Nissan Safety Shield 360, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. ProPilot Assist with lane-centering is standard starting with SV, and SV also adds a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: S trim includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SV and SL add NissanConnect Services, a WiFi hotspot, and Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration. SL Premium Package and Platinum add a 9-inch touchscreen, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, upgraded voice recognition, and a Bose premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The tested front-wheel-drive Rogue SL returned 27.5 mpg on a mixed driving loop.

Which 2021 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: Rogue S, Rogue SV, Rogue SL, Rogue Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Rogue S: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you the core infotainment setup, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the full Safety Shield 360 suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and don’t need extra luxury or tech.
• Rogue SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds NissanConnect Services, a WiFi hotspot, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration, ProPilot Assist with lane-centering, and a surround-view camera system. If you want the best balance of equipment and price, this is the trim to target.
• Rogue SL: This trim adds a more upscale feel with premium interior touches, a panoramic glass sunroof, and the option for the Premium Package. It suits you if comfort and a more luxurious cabin matter more than keeping costs down.
• Rogue Platinum: This is the most upscale Rogue, with quilted semi-aniline leather, contrast stitching, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.8-inch head-up display. Choose it if you want the most premium Rogue experience.

Safety-package note: ProPilot Assist is standard starting with SV, and the SL Premium Package and Platinum add the upgraded ProPilot Assist with Navi-link technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,922 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.06% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,247, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $18,247 sits slightly below last year's $20,515.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. A lower entry cost can also make it easier to stay competitive when you eventually list the vehicle again.

Because the market is still showing solid demand and a healthy share of good deals, resale should remain manageable if you keep the Rogue in clean condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2021 Nissan Rogue earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Rogue comes with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also gets ten airbags, a driver monitoring system, and a rear-seat reminder system.

Starting with SV, you also get ProPilot Assist with lane-centering and a surround-view camera system. The SL Premium Package and Platinum add upgraded ProPilot Assist with Navi-link technology, which can adjust speed for curves and freeway ramps.

One caveat is that the system can still behave in unexpected ways and may issue frequent audible notifications. Even so, the overall safety package is broad and well executed for a compact crossover.

Should I buy a 2021 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a more polished cabin, better ride quality, and stronger technology.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $15,099, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $18,247 average.
• It emphasizes practical, easy-to-live-with usefulness.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $19,207, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $18,247 average.
• It adds a more modern engine and improved efficiency.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the redesigned Rogue’s better refinement, tech, and overall balance. If your priority is the lowest purchase price, the 2020 is the budget-friendly path; if you want newer mechanical updates, the 2022 is worth a look.
