Used 2021 Land Rover Range Rover for Sale nearNewark, NJ

How much does the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover cost?

Prices have softened 17.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 836 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — you get a 5/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

The 2021 Range Rover leans into stylish design and a premium interior, and it stands out for offering multiple powertrain options so you can tailor the SUV to your preferences. The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and sluggish touchscreen response. Advanced safety features are also not standard.

For you, that means this is best if you want an upscale, distinctive luxury SUV and can live with some usability compromises. 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Range Rover’s appeal is built around premium materials, broad capability, and a sense of security that comes from its rugged hardware and multiple powertrain choices. The expert evaluation also points to a vehicle that feels thoroughly modern in its luxury presentation, even if some of its technology is less intuitive than newer systems.

Its performance hardware is a major part of the reliability story for ownership confidence: the SUV uses a robust powertrain lineup, standard 4WD, a two-speed transfer case, and Terrain Response 2 to help it handle difficult conditions. The cost-effectiveness commentary also emphasizes that the vehicle is designed to help you get out of tricky situations, which reinforces its long-haul capability.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that luxury complexity can make upkeep and ownership less forgiving than in a simpler SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on electronics, ride quality, and how smoothly the powertrain and driver aids operate. Pay close attention to condition, since this is a high-end SUV where neglected maintenance or cosmetic wear can be expensive to correct.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The HSE Westminster special edition adds a more upscale presentation, and the base model leaves advanced safety features off the standard equipment list.
• Powertrain: You can choose from turbodiesel V6, supercharged 5.0-liter V8, mild-hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options; the tested mild-hybrid turbocharged inline-six makes 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors, and a speed limiter for the cruise control. The Drive Pack adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, traffic sign recognition, and driver monitoring; the Drive Pro Pack adds active blind-spot monitoring, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, and high-speed automatic emergency braking; the Driver Assist Pack adds lane-centering assistance and a 360-degree surround-view camera.
• Infotainment: The system uses dual 10-inch touchscreens, and the tech can be distracting and not fully intuitive. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, and the SUV also includes a relatively comprehensive head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The tested Range Rover returned 20 mpg in combined driving according to EPA estimates, and the supercharged V8 is rated at 16 mpg city, 21 highway, and 18 combined.

Which 2021 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2021 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 1 trim level: HSE Westminster.

Here's the short version:

The HSE Westminster is the trim to focus on if you want the most compelling balance of luxury, power, and equipment in this model year. It pairs the mild-hybrid turbocharged inline-six with 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, and it also includes the Drive Pro and Park packages, which add more advanced driver assistance and parking tech. That makes it the best-value path if you want a well-equipped Range Rover without chasing the most expensive personalization options.

The HSE Westminster also benefits from the SUV’s premium cabin, strong road presence, and broad capability. If you want the Range Rover experience with the most useful equipment already included, this is the trim to target.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 836 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,633, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $39,633 sits slightly below last year's $48,261.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face more price pressure than owners did a year ago. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who purchased when prices were higher. Condition, mileage, and equipment will matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2021 Range Rover model includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors, and a speed limiter for the cruise control. If you want more advanced driver assistance, you need to move up to optional packages.

The Drive Pack adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. The Drive Pro Pack adds active blind-spot monitoring, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, and high-speed automatic emergency braking. The Driver Assist Pack adds lane-centering assistance and a 360-degree surround-view camera. The Park Pack adds 360-degree parking sensors, rear cross-traffic warning, and a Clear Exit Monitor, while the Park Pro Pack adds semi-autonomous parking.

One caveat is that the adaptive cruise control can be slow to respond when traffic ahead clears, and advanced safety features are not standard on every trim.

Should I buy a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers multiple powertrain choices and a premium cabin with a distinctly upscale feel.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $33,171, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $39,633 average.
• It emphasizes a strong luxury-cabin-and-capability formula with incremental updates.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $53,497, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $39,633 average.
• It brings a redesign with a simpler interior and improved technology.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, inventory, and the classic Range Rover experience, the 2021 is the smart target. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value play. If you want the newer redesign and can stretch your budget, the 2022 is the upgrade path to consider.
