Used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L for Sale nearLeesburg, FL

How much does the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L cost?

Prices have softened 12.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,874 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L earns a 4.89/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its comfortable ride, space, and high-tech features, and they also call out handling, performance in snow, and family-friendly value. That lines up with the overview’s focus on three-row practicality, refinement, and Jeep utility, especially if you want a more upscale SUV with added passenger capacity.

The main trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine and poor fuel economy, plus advanced safety features that are not standard. Even so, the market still shows 36.6% good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive listings if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort, space, and features they can count on over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes the Grand Cherokee L’s stout feel and composed daily driving manners, which supports the impression of a vehicle built for regular use rather than short-term novelty.

Jeep Wave adds three free oil changes and tire rotations within the first 36 months of ownership, plus roadside assistance during the five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty period. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher complexity and heavier use can make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a vehicle-by-vehicle inspection. Focus on maintenance records, signs of prior damage, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you’re considering. Condition matters a lot here because the Grand Cherokee L can be optioned very differently from one example to the next.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Grand Cherokee L looks good across the lineup, but the base setup can leave you wanting more equipment. Higher trims add more upscale materials and technology, while Summit models bring additional driver-assistance content.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 3.6-liter V6 with 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. A 5.7-liter V8 is optional on Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve, with 357 hp, 390 lb-ft, and stronger towing.
• Safety package: Active Driving Assist combines adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assistance. Intersection Collision Assist is standard on Summit models, and Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist is also available.
• Infotainment: Uconnect 5 is offered with 8.4-inch or 10.1-inch touchscreens, and it includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa compatibility, satellite radio, connected services, and a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 is rated at 21 mpg combined, while the V8 drops to 17 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is offered in 6 trim levels: Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• Laredo: This is the entry point, but the base setup is where you’re most likely to feel the missing equipment and simpler presentation. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and plan to add little beyond the essentials.
• Altitude: This trim adds a more distinctive look without changing the Grand Cherokee L’s core mission. It’s a step up if you want more style than the base model but still want to keep spending in check.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim. The cost-effectiveness data specifically recommends it as the sweet spot for style, equipment, and value, making it the one most shoppers should start with.
• Overland: This trim is the better choice if you want more capability and are considering the optional V8, which is available here. It also sits closer to the more premium end of the lineup.
• Summit: This trim adds more luxury and standard Intersection Collision Assist, but the value equation starts to weaken as pricing climbs.
• Summit Reserve: This is the most upscale version, but it also pushes deepest into luxury-SUV pricing territory, where you may want to compare alternatives carefully.

The safety package is strongest as you move up the lineup, and Summit models get additional standard driver-assistance content.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,874 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,698, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $25,698 sits slightly below last year's $29,496.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing momentum has softened, so condition, mileage, and equipment will matter even more when it’s time to list.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L safe?

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L does not have crash-test ratings cited here.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Active Driving Assist is the main driver-assistance suite, combining adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assistance. Intersection Collision Assist is standard on Summit models, and Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist is also available. The main caveat is that the system is described as good, but not great, with steering assist that can feel artificial and lane-change behavior that can feel overly responsive.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 is notable as Jeep’s first three-row SUV in more than a decade, bringing family-focused practicality to the lineup.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,568, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $25,698 average.
• It adds a more upscale, polished feel with wireless smartphone integration and a more refined overall presentation.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the smarter starting point because prices have eased and the market still shows plenty of inventory. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year experience and a more polished cabin, the 2022 is the secondary path worth considering.
