Used 2021 Jeep Gladiator for Sale near New Mexico

How much does the 2021 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 7.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,057 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Gladiator earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its ruggedness, off-road capability, and unique design, and many also like its powerful diesel performance and comfortable interior. The trade-offs are its gas mileage and price, especially when you factor in the small bed size. For you, that means this is a strong fit if you want a truck with personality and adventure appeal rather than a conventional midsize pickup. It also lines up well if you value a vehicle that feels distinctive and customizable.

The market shows 36.4% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels rugged, dependable, and capable of handling long-term use with confidence. The diesel powertrain adds substantial low-end torque, and the truck’s character is built around durability and utility rather than softness. Jeep also includes free scheduled maintenance during the first three years or 36,000 miles of ownership, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Gladiator’s rugged setup and higher running costs can make neglected examples more expensive to live with.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used off-road or modified. Pay close attention to wear on the suspension, steering feel, cabin condition, and any signs of hard use. Because this model is often bought for lifestyle and adventure use, condition matters as much as mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport starts with a 5-inch display, crank windows, and the most basic top, while Sport S adds the 7-inch Uconnect 4 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Willys adds a blacked-out grille, limited-slip rear differential, rock rails, and 32-inch all-terrain tires, while the 80th Anniversary Edition adds special badges, finishes, and materials. The High Altitude brings body-color detailing, black 20-inch wheels, and premium Nappa leather.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter gasoline V6 is joined by a new 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 for 2021. The diesel makes 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, and it returns noticeably better fuel economy than the gas engine.
• Safety package: The Gladiator starts with a reversing camera, and available driver aids include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. Some trims need extra equipment to get the fuller safety suite.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 5-inch display, Bluetooth, voice text reply for Android devices, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The upgraded Uconnect 4 system brings a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the top Uconnect 4C setup adds an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, SiriusXM Guardian connected services, remote engine start, and a WiFi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel returns 24 mpg in combined driving by EPA estimate, and testing returned 22.6 mpg on a mountainous loop. The standard V6 returned 20.3 mpg in a highway-heavy test.

Which 2021 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 6 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Overland, 80th Anniversary Edition, High Altitude.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Gladiator experience at the lowest starting price, but you give up the nicer infotainment and convenience upgrades found higher up. It suits you if you want the most basic path into the lineup and plan to personalize later.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim because it adds the 7-inch Uconnect 4 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making the truck feel much more modern without jumping too far up the price ladder. If you want the smartest balance of equipment and cost, this is the one to target.
• Willys: This trim adds a blacked-out grille, limited-slip rear differential, rock rails, and 32-inch all-terrain tires, so it leans more toward style and trail-ready hardware. It makes sense if you want a more adventurous look and extra off-road-oriented equipment.
• Overland: This trim is the one to consider if you want a more upscale Gladiator, especially because it can be paired with the forward-facing Trail Cam. It suits you if comfort and convenience matter more than keeping the truck stripped down.
• 80th Anniversary Edition: This version focuses on special badges, finishes, and materials, so it is mainly for buyers who want a commemorative appearance package with extra distinction.
• High Altitude: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with body-color detailing, black 20-inch wheels, and premium Nappa leather. It fits you if you want the most polished Gladiator presentation.

For safety equipment, the Gladiator’s driver-assistance features are not standard across the lineup, so check carefully for the specific package you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,057 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,405, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $30,405 sits slightly below last year's $32,939.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you a better entry point than a year ago. For a future seller, that means resale value may be steadier if the truck is well kept, well equipped, and accident-free. Strong condition and desirable trims should matter more when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator earns a four-star frontal-impact rating from NHTSA and three-star rollover resistance ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

In standard form, you get a reversing camera and little else, so you should look closely at whether the truck has the available driver-assistance package you want. Available features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring is especially worth seeking out because the side mirrors are narrow.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 adds a turbo-diesel engine, available full-time four-wheel drive, fresh special-edition models, and free scheduled maintenance.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $27,743, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $30,405 average.
• It established the Gladiator’s identity as a capable, off-road-focused midsize pickup.

The bottom line: If you want the most complete mix of features, updates, and market availability, the 2021 is the better target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 can still make sense, especially if you find a clean example with the equipment you want.
