Used 2021 Honda Odyssey for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2021 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 6.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,407 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its space, safety features, family-friendly convenience, and good drivability. The expert review also highlights its roomy cabin, stylish design, and practical utility for carrying passengers and cargo.

The trade-offs are that it is not available as a hybrid and it is not as luxurious as some rivals, and all-wheel drive is not available. For you, that means the Odyssey makes the most sense if you want a polished, easy-to-live-with family hauler rather than a luxury-leaning or all-weather minivan.

With 37.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2021 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with praise centered on space, safety, and family usefulness. The expert review also describes the Odyssey as a strong fit for buyers who want a practical minivan that makes daily life easier and reduces friction in family transportation.

Honda’s performance notes reinforce that impression by describing smooth, effortless power and a drivetrain that works well in everyday use. The maintenance and ownership picture looks straightforward for a used buyer, but you should still budget for normal wear items and verify how the vehicle has been maintained over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Honda Odyssey?

At 65.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has been used heavily for family duty. Pay close attention to interior wear, seat operation, brake condition, and any signs that the vehicle has spent a lot of time in stop-and-go driving or hauling passengers.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX trim gets standard LED headlights and Honda Sensing, but EX is the first trim with blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning.
• Powertrain: A 3.5-liter V6 with a ten-speed automatic powers the front wheels, and the engine uses variable cylinder management for better fuel use.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes low-speed follow capability, pedestrian braking, road-sign recognition, and a dashboard menu button for ADAS settings; blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning require at least EX trim.
• Infotainment: EX trim adds an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, HD Radio, text-messaging support, basic HondaLink connectivity, and a Cabin Control smartphone app; Touring adds navigation, WiFi capability, CabinWatch, and CabinTalk.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says it should get 22 mpg in combined driving, and testing returned 21.8 mpg.

Which 2021 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2021 Honda Odyssey is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Odyssey formula with standard LED headlights and Honda Sensing, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the blind-spot and rear cross-traffic warning features that matter in daily family use.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale cabin than EX, since the model line adds more comfort and convenience as you move up.
• Touring: This is the trim to target if you want the biggest tech upgrade, including navigation, WiFi capability, CabinWatch, CabinTalk, and the rear-seat entertainment system.
• Elite: This is the most luxurious version, with perforated leather upholstery, ambient lighting, an 11-speaker premium sound system, multi-zone listening, and wireless smartphone charging.

Honda Sensing is standard on LX, but the blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning system still require at least EX trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,407 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,863, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $25,863 sits slightly below last year's $27,733.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current trend means your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history.

Well-kept examples should still hold appeal because the Odyssey’s family-friendly reputation remains strong. A clean history and strong equipment mix can help support demand when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2021 Honda Odyssey earns Top Safety Pick recognition from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and earns five-star ratings for every assessment aside from rollover resistance, for which it earns a four-star score.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on the base LX trim and includes low-speed follow capability for adaptive cruise control, pedestrian braking, road-sign recognition, and a dashboard menu button for quick ADAS access. If you want blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning, you still need to move up to EX trim.

The safety systems are comprehensive, but the expert review notes that the adaptive cruise control can brake a bit unevenly and the lane-departure warning can feel intrusive. That means the Odyssey is well equipped for safety, but you should still test the driver-assistance behavior on your own routes before buying.

Should I buy a 2021 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds updated safety, technology, and styling for the model year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,016, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $25,863 average.
• It keeps the same basic formula while remaining especially enjoyable to drive.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the smarter buy because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy. If you are willing to pay more for the next model year, the 2022 is the cleaner alternative, but the 2021 already delivers the core Odyssey strengths at a lower average price.
