How much does the 2021 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 10.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 298 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The 2021 Genesis G70 is positioned as an entry-level luxury sport sedan that leans into style, value, and driving enjoyment. It brings show-stopping design, premium standard features, and a playful character that helps it stand out in a crowded segment.

The main trade-offs are a base engine that feels underwhelming and a cabin that sacrifices rear-seat and cargo space. Even so, the car’s strong value proposition and premium feel make it a compelling choice if you want a distinctive luxury sedan without chasing the highest price.

Good and great deals account for 31.2% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2021 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Genesis backs the G70 with a five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, which supports confidence in ownership. The expert review also points to solid safety scores and a well-equipped package that helps the car feel like a strong value over time.

The main long-term risk for used buyers is that a premium sedan with performance hardware can be more sensitive to maintenance history and prior use, so condition matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Genesis G70?

At 70.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a car with sportier equipment or higher mileage. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin and electronics still feel tight and well cared for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Higher configurations add quilted Nappa leather seats and more standard features, while the base setup is more modest by comparison.
• Powertrain: The G70 offers a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 252 horsepower and a twin-turbo V6 with 365 hp; both pair with an eight-speed automatic, and RWD or AWD are available.
• Safety package: Standard driver aids include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, driver attention monitoring, and forward-collision warning.
• Infotainment: Standard tech includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and six speakers; upgrades can add navigation, a 15-speaker Lexicon audio system, a surround-view camera system, and wireless device charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-liter automatic returns 22/30/25 mpg city/highway/combined, while the 3.3T returns 17/26/20 mpg with RWD and 17/25/20 mpg with AWD.

Which 2021 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T and 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the better-value choice if you want the G70’s style, standard features, and luxury feel without paying for the more powerful engine. It still gives you the core experience, but the base engine is the one most likely to feel underwhelming if you want stronger acceleration.
• 3.3T: This is the one to choose if you care most about performance. The twin-turbo V6 brings a big jump in power and sportiness, and it suits you best if you want the G70 to feel genuinely quick rather than merely adequate.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard advanced driver aids helping the car earn top marks.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Genesis G70?

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 298 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,804, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $22,131 sits slightly below last year's $24,792.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the current pricing trend means you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition, because those factors will matter more when it’s time to trade in or list the car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
