Used 2021 Dodge Charger for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2021 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices have softened 6.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,891 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Dodge Charger earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its power, performance, and fun-to-drive character, and they also like the spacious interior and family-friendly comfort. The Charger’s broad appeal comes through clearly: it can work as a practical daily driver while still delivering the muscle-car experience you want.

The trade-offs are just as clear. The base engine is described as underwhelming, the back seat is cramped, and the technology feels outdated.

With 28.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively if you want the right mix of price and equipment.

Is the 2021 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with drivers highlighting its reliability alongside its speed, power, and overall usefulness. That combination suggests you’re looking at a model that many owners feel comfortable living with over time.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Charger’s powertrain lineup is broad and that its performance remains manageable and usable in everyday driving. On the cost side, the model’s historically weak predicted reliability and higher running costs mean long-term ownership risk is worth weighing carefully if you’re shopping used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Dodge Charger?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-performance trim or a car with a lot of miles. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and signs of prior bodywork or wear that could affect long-term ownership costs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans Charger SXT, Charger SXT AWD, Charger GT, Charger GT AWD, Charger R/T, Charger Scat Pack, Charger Scat Pack Widebody, Charger SRT Hellcat, and Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye. The base SXT comes with 17-inch wheels, while higher trims add more aggressive styling, wider-body availability, and more premium cabin materials, so feature gaps are most noticeable at the entry level.
• Powertrain: The 3.6-liter V6 in SXT and GT models is the most fuel-efficient choice and makes up to 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque. Above that, the 5.7-liter HEMI V8, 6.4-liter HEMI V8, supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8, and high-output Redeye version step up performance dramatically.
• Safety package: Every new Charger comes standard with brake assist, electronic stability control, hill start assist, rear park assist, rain brake support, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and automatic headlights are available in some, but not all models.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, satellite radio, four USB ports, a rearview camera, and rear parking sensors. An 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, WiFi hot spot, and upgraded audio systems are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.6-liter V6 is the most fuel-efficient choice, while the SRT Hellcat Redeye is rated at 12 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2021 Dodge Charger is offered in 9 trim levels: Charger SXT, Charger SXT AWD, Charger GT, Charger GT AWD, Charger R/T, Charger Scat Pack, Charger Scat Pack Widebody, Charger SRT Hellcat, Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

Here's the short version:

• Charger SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Charger’s core personality at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you want the look, space, and everyday usability without paying for V8 power.
• Charger SXT AWD: Choose this if you want the same basic setup as the SXT but with all-wheel drive for added traction. It’s the better pick if weather or road conditions matter more than outright performance.
• Charger GT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a little more attitude and equipment without jumping into V8 pricing. If you want a balanced mix of price and personality, this is the one to start with.
• Charger GT AWD: Pick this if you want the GT’s added character plus all-wheel drive. It suits you if you want a more secure-feeling daily driver without moving up to the V8 models.
• Charger R/T: This is where the Charger starts to feel properly muscular, thanks to the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 and stronger towing capability. It’s the right choice if you want a clear performance step up and can live with the higher fuel and purchase costs.
• Charger Scat Pack: This trim brings the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 and a major jump in output, making it the sweet spot for buyers who want serious performance without going all the way to Hellcat territory.
• Charger Scat Pack Widebody: Choose this if you want the Scat Pack’s performance with the wider-body look and stance. It’s the pick for buyers who care about presence as much as speed.
• Charger SRT Hellcat: This is for you if you want supercharged V8 power and are willing to pay for it. It’s a high-output choice that makes sense only if performance is your top priority.
• Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye: This is the top performance choice, with the most powerful engine in the lineup. It’s the right fit if you want the most extreme Charger experience and are comfortable with the highest price.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but several driver-assistance features remain optional or trim-dependent, so verify equipment carefully before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Dodge Charger?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,891 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,366, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $26,366 sits slightly below last year's $28,201.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also suggests future sellers may face some pressure if the market stays loose. If you buy at a favorable price today, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later.

The Charger’s strong enthusiast appeal and high owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. Higher-performance trims may hold attention better than base models, but condition and mileage will still matter a lot.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Dodge Charger safe?

The 2021 Dodge Charger earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Charger comes standard with brake assist, electronic stability control, hill start assist, rear park assist, rain brake support, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and automatic headlights are available in some, but not all models.

The main caveat is that the 2021 model itself hasn’t been crash-tested by IIHS, and the structurally similar 2020 model received mostly Good ratings but Poor marks for headlights. That makes equipment verification especially important if safety is a priority.

Should I buy a 2021 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 adds a new track-ready variant that pushes Hellcat performance further.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $23,254, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $26,366 average.
• It offers sedan practicality with a spacious cabin and broad powertrain choice.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,587, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $26,366 average.
• It adds incredible acceleration, easy-to-use technology, and strong Widebody cornering.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, performance, and available inventory, the 2021 is the strongest all-around choice. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2020 can save you money while keeping much of the Charger formula intact.
