Used 2021 Dodge Challenger for Sale nearOrlando, FL

How much does the 2021 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices have softened 2.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,363 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2021 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.88/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its power, comfort, unique styling, impressive technology, and strong driving experience. The Challenger also fits buyers who want a car with a distinctive personality, plenty of cargo space, and multiple powertrain choices.

The trade-offs are clear: handling is outclassed by rivals, the back seat is cramped, and advanced safety features are not standard. That makes it best for you if you value straight-line speed and muscle-car character more than all-around versatility.

Only 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful comparison shopping.

Is the 2021 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centered on power, comfort, and the sense that the car delivers what it promises over time. The expert review also emphasizes that Dodge backs the Challenger with a full warranty and describes it as offering reliable power.

The Challenger’s long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability than about whether you can live with its compromises and find one that has been maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Dodge Challenger?

At 68.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of body panels, alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because this car’s appeal depends heavily on condition and configuration, it’s smart to focus on how well the car has been maintained and whether any accident history affects the parts you care about most.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SXT is described as decent but plain, while GT and R/T models add a central air scoop and a wide front air dam. Upper trims bring softer Nappa leather seats, contrast stitching, faux-suede headliners, carbon fiber on the dash, and thicker steering wheels with metal shift paddles.
• Powertrain: The base 3.6-liter V6 in the SXT and GT is quiet and efficient, but it is not especially fun. The R/T uses a 375-hp 5.7-liter V8 with a six-speed manual, active exhaust, and upgraded suspension, while higher trims move to a 6.4-liter V8 or supercharged 6.2-liter V8 options.
• Safety package: The Challenger’s safety content includes a named driver-assistance suite with blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control, plus optional forward emergency braking. Advanced safety features are not standard, and some trims may leave you with very little driver-assist coverage.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 8.4-inch screen should be standard, and the system also offers performance data displays and custom driving modes.
• Fuel efficiency: The performance review notes fuel economy can reach 30 mpg or 20 mpg depending on configuration, while some Hellcat models can drop below 10 mpg.

Which 2021 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2021 Dodge Challenger is offered in 3 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and the Challenger’s styling without paying for V8 power. It’s the least expensive way into the lineup, but the base V6 is described as quiet and efficient rather than exciting.
• GT: Choose this if you want the same basic V6 formula with a bit more flexibility, including all-wheel drive availability. It still prioritizes cruising over fun, so it’s best for buyers who value the Challenger look and everyday usability more than performance.
• R/T: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it brings the 375-hp V8, a six-speed manual, active exhaust, and upgraded suspension. If you want the Challenger to feel like a true muscle car, this is the trim to start with.

Blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise are the only other driver assists available.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Dodge Challenger?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,363 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,171, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $31,587 sits slightly below last year's $32,438.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also temper what you recover later. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that resale will likely depend on trim, condition, and how well the car’s performance-focused appeal holds up with buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Dodge Challenger safe?

The Challenger earns a five-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), but the government's tests mask the weaknesses of this old body structure.

It earns four-star ratings for the driver and five-star ratings for the passenger in a frontal crash, five-star ratings for side impact, and four-star ratings for rollover testing. It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The Challenger’s safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control, and optional forward emergency braking is available. The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, and the IIHS results are mixed, with only two “good” ratings, an “acceptable” roof strength result, a “marginal” small-overlap front result, and a “poor” body-structure result.

Should I buy a 2021 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 stands out as a high-tech dragster with broad powertrain variety and strong performance value.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $28,680, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $31,587 average.
• It blends retro styling with modern technology and remains one of the last remaining modern muscle cars.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market value, broad inventory, and the 2021 model year’s performance appeal, this is the better path. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly alternative and still delivers the Challenger’s core character.
