Is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers most often praise its value, performance, and features, and many also call out the good ride quality and decent gas mileage. In practical terms, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a midsize pickup that can handle daily driving while still offering real utility, especially in the mid-range and higher trims. Is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable in everyday use, and the review summary points to value, performance, and features as recurring strengths. The same feedback also highlights good ride quality and decent gas mileage, which can support confidence over longer ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure you avoid a truck with unresolved wear or prior issues that could affect ownership costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Colorado?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report so you can confirm accident status, title history, and any other red flags before you go further. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition, with extra attention to signs of hard use, cabin wear, and how the vehicle drives. Because this model year has a mixed reputation in some areas, you’ll want to focus on overall condition and maintenance evidence as much as trim level or mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,141 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,068, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $25,170 sits slightly below last year's $26,686.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices stay soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and trim will matter a lot, because cleaner trucks tend to hold attention better when the market is more selective. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 is a strong pick if you want a well-liked Colorado with a healthy used-car market and a meaningful number of value-priced listings. If your priority is simply the lowest possible entry price, you may want to compare nearby years as well, but the 2021 gives you a good balance of owner satisfaction, inventory, and pricing.
