Is the 2021 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2021 BMW 7 Series earns a user rating of 5/5, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a full-size luxury sedan that blends strong performance with a long history of technology leadership, and it offers a deeply upscale cabin with a wide range of modern features. Is the 2021 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2021 BMW 7 Series is built around a broad mix of powertrains and a feature-rich cabin, so you should expect a complex luxury-car ownership experience rather than a simple one. For used buyers, that means long-term risk is tied less to the badge and more to how well the car has been maintained and equipped.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 BMW 7 Series?

At 74.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you go any further. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a car with advanced electronics, luxury features, and multiple powertrain types. Focus on overall condition, maintenance documentation, and whether the car’s equipment and driving behavior match the seller’s description.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 539 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,313, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $37,673 sits slightly below last year's $42,071.

That price decline suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may reduce the amount of value left to lose over your ownership period. Strong condition and a clean history will matter a lot if you want to protect resale value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2021 is the right pick if you want this generation’s blend of luxury, technology, and powertrain variety, especially now that prices have eased from last year. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but you should still compare condition, history, and equipment closely because the best value will usually come from the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than the cheapest one.
