Used 2021 Acura TLX for Sale nearTucson, AZ

How much does the 2021 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 3.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 690 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Acura TLX a good car?

Generally — the 2021 Acura TLX earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

The TLX is aimed at you if you want a midsize sport sedan with a more premium feel, a distinct identity, and a stronger design statement than a basic commuter car. Its stylish exterior, premium interior materials, and multiple powertrain options support that mission, while the sport-sedan character is reinforced by its engaging personality and rich soundtrack.

The trade-offs are real, though: the back seat is cramped, the technology is unintuitive, and cargo space is limited. If you value style, cabin quality, and a more expressive driving experience over maximum practicality, the TLX fits that brief well.

Good and great deals: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TLX is positioned as a premium sport sedan with a new platform, new exterior and interior, and updated powertrain choices, which gives it a more substantial feel than the outgoing version. Its performance setup includes a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, a 10-speed automatic, and available SH-AWD, all of which point to a mechanically sophisticated package.

Acura also backs the car with a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is making sure the car has been maintained properly, especially if you want the more complex tech and all-wheel-drive hardware to stay trouble-free.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Acura TLX?

At 69.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim car with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of uneven wear, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car starts with a 10.2-inch infotainment screen, while higher trims add navigation, a head-up display, and the available ELS Studio 3D audio system.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, a 10-speed automatic, standard FWD, and available SH-AWD.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist, along with pedestrian sensing, autonomous emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition, traffic jam assist, and a driver attention monitor.
• Infotainment: The system includes a 10.2-inch screen, Bluetooth, Siri Eyes Free, SMS text messaging, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation above the base trim.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, while AWD models are rated at 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.

Which 2021 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2021 Acura TLX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Tech, A-Spec, Advance.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the TLX’s core design, powertrain, and standard AcuraWatch safety suite without paying for extras.
• Tech: This is the best-value trim if you want the most useful everyday upgrades, including navigation and a more complete tech experience.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want a more expressive look and the available premium audio system, along with a sportier feel.
• Advance: Pick this if you want the most comfort and convenience features, including the head-up display and adaptive dampers.

All TLX models include AcuraWatch, and available safety features such as rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and the head-up display are added on higher trims.

If you find a listing below $26,371, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $27,101 sits slightly below last year's $28,164.

That softer pricing suggests the TLX has become a bit easier to buy than it was a year ago, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, the current trend implies you may not see rapid appreciation, but a well-kept example can still hold appeal because it sits in a desirable premium-sedan niche.

The TLX’s style, premium cabin, and broad feature set help support demand, especially among buyers who want something more distinctive than a mainstream sedan. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Standard safety equipment also includes pedestrian sensing and autonomous emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition, traffic jam assist, a driver attention monitor, a multi-angle rear-view camera system with dynamic guidelines, and a full complement of airbags.

Available safety features include rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and the head-up display. Acura engineers targeted five-star ratings and Top Safety Pick+ ratings for this model year.

Should I buy a 2021 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The second-generation TLX brings a new platform, new styling, and updated powertrain choices.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $21,922, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $27,101 average.
• It offers a more driver-focused personality and strong value for money.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $32,176, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $27,101 average.
• It adds road presence, sharp handling, and premium interior materials.

The bottom line: If you want the newest design and a more premium-feeling TLX, the 2021 is the right starting point. If your priority is lower purchase price, the 2020 is the better value play, while the 2022 makes sense if you’re willing to pay more for a slightly more polished feel.
