At 51.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in any collision. It also helps to compare maintenance records and confirm that the features you want are actually present on the specific car you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2015 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 stands out for rewarding driving dynamics and a strong mix of entertainment and safety technology.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,654, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,540 average.
• It leans more clearly into a performance-luxury identity and a renewed brand direction.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2015 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid satisfaction and a broad feature set. If you’re willing to spend more for the next model year’s repositioning, the 2016 may appeal, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2015.

How does the 2015 Acura TLX compare to the 2015 Honda Accord?
