Used 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid for Sale nearPortland, OR

How much does the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,626 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, fuel efficiency, spacious interior, and good handling. That lines up well with its use case as a practical compact crossover that gives you everyday versatility without giving up mileage.

The main trade-offs are noise and some missing features that a few owners expected, including remote start and certain all-wheel-drive-related capabilities found on some rivals. Even so, the market still shows 34.8% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for comfort, smooth driving manners, and efficiency that holds up over time. The expert evaluation also reinforces that sense of durability by describing the hybrid system as well matched to the vehicle and easy to live with day to day.

Toyota includes 2 years or 25,000 miles of free maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the hybrid system, recalls, and overall condition have been properly maintained and documented.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the hybrid system, brakes, tires, and suspension, since those are the areas most likely to reveal how the vehicle was treated. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if you want a long-term daily driver.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gets the essentials, but higher trims add more comfort and convenience equipment. The XSE and Limited also bring larger wheels, while the top trim is the only one available with adaptive headlights.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine paired with two electric motors and standard all-wheel drive. The setup is tuned for strong efficiency, with a combined EPA rating of 40 mpg.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane-tracing assist, and road-sign assist. Blind spot monitoring and front and rear parking assist with automated braking are optional.
• Infotainment: Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard, along with SiriusXM Radio. Higher trims add more USB ports, and the premium JBL system brings navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The combined EPA fuel economy rating is 40 mpg, and Toyota says the annual fuel bill is about $800.

Which 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core hybrid efficiency, standard all-wheel drive, and the full Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it leaves out some of the nicer convenience and comfort upgrades found higher up.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It adds fog lights, more adjustable front seats, nicer interior trim, more USB ports, a cargo cover, and blind-spot monitoring, making it a smarter everyday choice than the LE.
• XSE: This is the sweet spot if you want the biggest jump in equipment. It adds bigger wheels, two-tone paint, a sunroof, power liftgate, panoramic backup camera, digital instrumentation, imitation leather upholstery, heated seats, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift lever, ambient interior lighting, and the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
• Limited: This is the most fully equipped version, and it builds on the XSE with the highest-end feature set in the lineup. It suits you best if you want the most upscale RAV4 Hybrid experience and are willing to pay for it.

Blind spot monitoring is standard on the XLE and above, while front and rear parking assist with automated braking remains optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,626 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,404, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $26,966 sits slightly above last year's $26,867.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that usually means you are less exposed to sudden depreciation pressure than you would be in a softer market.

Because pricing has held steady, a well-kept example should remain relatively easy to position competitively when it is time to sell. Strong demand for efficient, practical hybrids also helps support long-term value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid safe?

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side crash.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, full-speed range adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane-tracing assist, and road-sign assist. Safety Connect is also included with a 1-year trial. Blind spot monitoring and front and rear parking assist with automated braking are optional, so you may want to prioritize those features if you are shopping lower trims.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds Android Auto for the first time and keeps standard all-wheel drive and strong efficiency.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $25,329, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $26,966 average.
• It offers a tougher look and strong value.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,487, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $26,966 average.
• It adds the new XLE Premium trim and more comfort-focused equipment.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of efficiency, standard safety tech, and stable pricing. If your budget is tighter, the 2019 is the better value play; if you want newer trim choices and can spend more, the 2021 is worth a look.
