Why it stands out
The 2020 Toyota 4Runner is celebrated for its robust off-road abilities rooted in a durable body-on-frame design. While many contemporary crossovers lean towards fuel efficiency, the 4Runner embraces its truck-like heritage with a powerful 4-liter V6 engine producing 270 horsepower, designed more for rugged terrain than smooth highways. Its capacity for off-road adventures is complemented by distinct driving features such as CRAWL control and Multi-Terrain Select. Additionally, this model introduces a more user-friendly 8-inch touchscreen that incorporates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, addressing past critiques regarding outdated technology. Despite some interior material shortcomings and relatively poor fuel economy, the 2020 4Runner remains a go-to choice for buyers seeking reliability and performance in challenging conditions.

Love the color and the ability to do anything in this bad boy. Drives off road super smooth and easy, drives on paced road as smooth as the SR5. This is the perfect vehicle.

This 2020 4 Runner is a great choice. I have a very active lifestyle. I surf, snowboard, cycle and take my two dogs almost everywhere I go. So this vehicle is perfect for what I need. The SR5 Premium model has just enough nice features that it feels like your driving a luxury car minus the high price tag. If you are looking for a true goat of a truck I recommend this vehicle.

The perfect dinosaur for me! I chose this make and model specifically for its older tech and build quality. Is it fast, no. Does it sip gas, nope. Does it feel solid, yes. This is my second one. The first is still running great at 20 years old. My only gripe is the type of OEM step bars. Easy to get in, but not the best for getting out of the vehicle. They will be swapped. Problem solved. This is a popular platform but it isn't the right vehicle for everyone. If you are considering a 4Runner, watch the Care Care Nut's review of the 5th gen 4Runners FIRST. Know what you are buying. I have had a Lexus and 2 different 4 Runners. These are the best vehicles I have ever owned and that’s comparing them to Volvo, Dodge, Jeep, and BMW. The only thing I have a problem with is gas mileage but that’s what you get when you have 4 wheel drive. It would be nice if it had the push button lift for the tail gate but no big deal. They are awesome vehicles. I am on my 4th Toyota/Lexus brand.
