Why it stands out
The 2019 Toyota 4Runner is a standout choice for buyers seeking a rugged and reliable SUV that excels in off-road situations. With its powerful 4.0-liter V6 engine producing 270 horsepower, drivers can expect strong performance whether navigating rocky terrains or towing up to 5,000 pounds. Unlike many modern SUVs that prioritize aesthetics over functionality, the 4Runner's design is rooted in practicality, boasting steep approach and departure angles essential for off-road adventures.
While some competitors have embraced modern infotainment technology, the 4Runner adheres to a simpler design, which may lack features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but provides familiar functionality for those who prefer traditional controls. The interior, though it's noted for being somewhat outdated, offers ample headroom and cargo space, making it a practical choice for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
However, potential buyers should be aware of its higher cost of ownership, including insurance and fuel, as well as the lack of advanced safety features that are becoming standard in many new models. Overall, the 2019 Toyota 4Runner remains a beloved choice for those who prioritize off-road capability without compromising on ride comfort and interior space.

The car itself is a great ride if you like a truck-ish feel, but unfortunately, I dont think its worth having my insurance and gas alone (exclusive of the cost of the car) cost more on a monthly basis than my mortgage.
