How much does the 2020 Tesla Model X cost?

There are 319 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Tesla Model X a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Tesla Model X earns a 4.62/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the performance and technology, along with the customization options and luxury features. The Model X also fits well if you want a large, all-electric SUV with two- and three-row seating for up to seven passengers, plus a tech-forward cabin and distinctive Falcon Wing doors. With 27.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still some worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Tesla Model X reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights dependable performance, strong safety and Autopilot capability, and a driving experience many buyers feel confident living with over time. That said, some owners mention minor quality issues, so used buyers should pay close attention to condition and service history. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about the core appeal and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Tesla Model X?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough inspection of body panels, alignment, and overall condition. Because owners mention minor quality issues, it makes sense to pay extra attention to fit and finish, especially on a vehicle with complex doors and premium equipment. If possible, test every major feature so you can confirm that the cabin tech, doors, and convenience items all work as expected.

The current average of $36,439 sits slightly above last year's $35,698.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has held up reasonably well, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A model with steady demand and a recognizable identity can be easier to move when it comes time to trade in or list privately. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support buyer interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Tesla Model X or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.08% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Model X makes the most sense if you want the familiar Tesla formula: strong owner satisfaction, distinctive design, and a feature-rich electric SUV with three-row flexibility. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing for a lower entry point, but the 2020 remains a compelling choice when you find a clean example at the right price.
