How much does the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 4.89% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,182 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and conditions.

Is the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.86/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its incredible value, comfortable driving experience, safety features, and gas mileage. That lines up well with the model’s practical small-crossover role, especially if you want something easy to live with for commuting, bad weather, and light adventure. With 35.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights it as a reliable choice for both daily commutes and adventurous trips, and it also emphasizes dependable value, safety, and efficiency. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used crossover you can count on for routine driving without a lot of drama.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific example has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Subaru Crosstrek?

At 72.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any listing that looks especially appealing on price. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the car feels consistent with its mileage and asking price.

Because this model is often bought for everyday utility, it’s smart to pay close attention to wear items and how the vehicle has been used over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,182 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.89% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,981, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $19,274 sits slightly below last year's $20,265.

That softer pricing suggests the model is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the Crosstrek’s practical reputation and broad appeal can help support demand when it’s time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,847, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $19,274 average.
• It adds a Sport trim and an available 2.5-liter engine.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and deal availability is decent. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer year’s added trim and engine choice, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who want a little more flexibility.
