Is the 2020 Porsche Taycan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels well built, dependable in daily use, and satisfying over time, especially if you value its performance and craftsmanship. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic appeal and more about making sure the specific car has been cared for properly, since early EV performance models can be expensive to sort out if neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Porsche Taycan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks the battery, charging behavior, brakes, suspension, and any warning lights. Because this model year can be expensive to own, you’ll want to pay close attention to overall condition, service records, and whether the car has been used in a way that matches your driving needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Porsche Taycan?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 217 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.71% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,278, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Porsche Taycan's resale value?

The current average of $61,278 sits slightly below last year's $71,844.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy carefully and keep the car in strong condition, you’ll be better positioned to preserve value when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Porsche Taycan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the original Taycan experience and you find a well-kept example at a strong price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may offer a different mix of features or pricing, but the 2020 remains a compelling choice when condition and history are strong.
