Yes — the 2020 Nissan Kicks earns a 4.62/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical, budget-friendly subcompact SUV for commuting or everyday use. Is the 2020 Nissan Kicks reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the Kicks is dependable in the ways that matter most to budget-conscious buyers: it delivers value, fuel efficiency, and a trouble-free everyday experience for many drivers. The recurring praise for its long-term usefulness and low-drama ownership profile supports that impression. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about making sure you choose a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Kicks?

At 73.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, signs of past repairs, and whether the car feels well maintained, since those factors matter more than mileage alone on a value-oriented model like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Kicks?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare options but still a need to shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,159 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,023, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $13,152 sits slightly below last year's $14,512.

That decline suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little less favorable than it was a year ago. If you buy now, your future selling price will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether you choose a clean, well-kept example. Because the Kicks appeals to value-focused shoppers, a strong maintenance record can help it hold attention when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $11,987, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $13,152 average.
• It emphasizes affordable basics with standard safety features.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $14,563, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $13,152 average.
• It adds more features in a refreshed package.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the best fit if you want a balanced mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current-market pricing. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2019 is the better budget play. If you want more features and can stretch your budget, the 2021 is the stronger upgrade path.
