How much does the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2020 GLS is positioned as the roomiest vehicle in Mercedes-Benz’s lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 94 cubic feet of cargo space. It also blends S-Class-like comfort with some off-road capability, which makes it a strong fit if you want a large, upscale SUV with a polished ride and a long list of standard features. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2020 GLS emphasizes comfort, space, and a premium cabin, and it comes with a long list of standard equipment that supports a well-rounded ownership experience. Its drawbacks are more about packaging and usability than outright durability, with notes about reduced cargo space versus the prior generation, less front headroom, and frustrating touch-sensing controls. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is ending up with a vehicle whose luxury features and complex tech have not been maintained carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.6% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should also prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the suspension, electronics, and third-row operation, since this SUV leans heavily on comfort and technology. Focus on overall condition, because a well-kept example is more likely to deliver the refined ownership experience this model is known for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,827, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $31,827 sits slightly below last year's $37,938. That kind of price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $46,449, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $31,827 average.
• It adds a more S-Class-like luxury focus with broader premium appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year and a more upscale luxury emphasis, the 2021 is the alternative to compare.
