Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that kind of consistent praise can reduce long-term ownership risk, especially if you verify maintenance history and overall condition before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mazda CX-9?

At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. It also helps to focus on cabin condition and electronics, because the CX-9’s premium features are part of its appeal.

What is the 2020 Mazda CX-9's resale value?

The current average of $19,095 sits slightly below last year's $21,257.

That price movement suggests the CX-9 has softened in the used market, which can matter if you plan to sell later. A lower entry price can help you limit depreciation exposure, but it also means resale gains may be more modest if the market stays soft. Strong condition and a clean history will matter more if you want to protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda CX-9 or consider a different year?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.17% compared with last year.

Consider the 2019 if:

Consider the 2021 if:
