Used 2020 Land Rover Discovery for Sale near Topeka, KS
For 2020, Land Rover introduces a few updates for the Discovery, the company’s midsize SUV. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and blind-spot monitoring now come standard and a new Landmark Edition debuts.
In the Land Rover lineup, the Discovery is positioned as a rugged off-roader, and it looks the part with a tall roof, generous greenhouse, and extra body protection. The Discovery’s interior is open and airy thanks to big windows and a dual-pane glass roof. Cargo volume measures 38.8 cubic feet with the second row deployed and 83.7 cubic feet with the second-row seats folded.
Two engines are available. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 burns gasoline and makes 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 burns diesel and produces 254 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Maximum towing capacity is 8,201 pounds with the supercharged V6.
Both engines connect to an 8-speed automatic transmission and permanent 4-wheel drive (4WD) with a locking center differential. With the available air suspension, the Discovery offers up to 11.1 inches of ground clearance. Sophisticated off-roading technology is also available, ranging from powertrain and traction systems designed for use on specific surfaces to low-speed cruise control that allows a driver to focus on steering a path across difficult terrain.
Trims include SE, Landmark Edition, HSE, and HSE Luxury. The Landmark Edition adds 20-inch black wheels along with a premium Meridian sound system. The HSE Luxury adds premium leather upholstery, reclining rear seats, and a 10-way power driver's seat.
Three-row seating comes standard in all but the Discovery SE. The second-row seat features a 40/20/40-split design. Heated and ventilated front- and second-row seats are available, as well as a massage function for the driver and front passenger. A 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes standard. Landmark Edition, HSE, and HSE Luxury trims add navigation, a WiFi hotspot, and a premium sound system. A rear-seat entertainment system and a head-up display (HUD) are available as options.
When it comes to safety, every 2020 Discovery includes low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring. Upgrades include adaptive cruise with stop-and-go capability, high-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-centering assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. Front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera, and semi-autonomous parking assist are also available.
The Discovery’s closest competitor in terms of size, seating capacity, and off-roading capability is the Lexus GX 460. Otherwise, you can trade the Discovery’s outright adventuring talent for a pavement cruiser such as the Acura MDX, Audi Q7, BMW X5, Cadillac XT6, Infiniti QX60, Lexus RX L, Lincoln Aviator, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, or Volvo XC90.

(6 reviews)Love it , heated and cooled seats rides great and looks great and good price
Very smooth ride, definitely get one with air suspension. excellent cargo capacity. Depending on your needs will rival it to an x5 (daily drive) or a defender 110 (for the occasional off road / car camping)
I love the look of the Land Rover but it was very, very basic. No headed seats, motion sense, the touch screen was pretty basic also. I drive a BMW 430i grand coupe and the inside of my car blows away the Land Rover. Love the look but the inside was cheaply made for the price of the vehicle.
My 2020 Discovery has been a delightful car until today. Traveling west at 68mph on the Mass Pike , my Discovery literally shut down... all systems... including my FLASHERS to notify those behind of a problem. All electronic, electrical and remote (fob- doors & hatch) systems were locked and dead. Land Rover Roadside assistance took 5.25 hours to pick us up and only after I called a tow independently. Will have car picked up for complete analysis... including lane changing electronic issues.LL My rating on this car would have been 4 stars before today. As far as safety goes... this car is failing. We could have been killed!
its great value good for my purpose i love it
